There have been some recent studies saying that chocolate milk is better than Gatorade type drinks after a workout.

The Leslie Sansone dvds are done by simply doing some march in place, side steps, low kicks with some easy arm movements here and there. Basic stuff. No equipment required. :)

Leslie Sansone's walking dvd's are really good for all fitness levels. Easy and fun.

Try walking more at work. Take the long way to get someplace in the office. Park further out. Use stairs instead of elevator if available. Get up and stretch periodically. You can do this!

There are several studies out that say that drinking low fat chocolate milk after a workout is better for your muscles than a sports drink. Might be a good way to add some calories, too!

23 is awfully young to get married. If you question whether it is right or not, then you are probably just not ready to get married. I've been married for 21 years and I don't recall ever questioning it. We were in love and didn't want it to end. Best wishes to you. This would be a good thing to pray about for guidance!…

I'm in the same boat, just learning how to do this. I think it just takes a lot of perseverance and putting yourself first for a change to make sure you take the time to eat right and exercise. Friend me if you like. We need lots of Mom support on this journey. :flowerforyou:

I saute onions and green bell peppers (also red, yellow and orange if I have them) in a little olive oil, pour in some Egg Beaters, season with pepper and a little salt and some other spices I like and add a slice of smoked provolone veggie cheese. You can even make a breakfast sandwich by putting it inside a whole grain…

Congratulations on starting a new healthier lifestyle for you and your daughter! Take it one day at a time gradually adding small changes. Add more fruit and vegetables. Try a new one every week that you haven't tried before. Make a game out of it. Limit sodas and sweets to be a once in awhile treat, not a daily thing. Use…

I'm in. A very do-able goal! Let's do this!

I agree with the other comments that you need to try eating more calories. On the Belly Fat diet it is recommended to eat a monounsaturated fat with each meal such as almonds, avocados, olive oil, peanut butter. Might be worth a try.
-
Angel Food cake is low in fat and lower in sugar than most cakes. Will keep in heat, too.

I find that protein helps with those low blood sugar feelings. Peanut butter is good. And yes, you need to have probably 5-6 small meals throughout the day to keep you regulated. Try not to eat things too high in sugar so you won't feel such a let down when it is gone.
-
I agree, Triscuits and some Laughing Cow cheese and an apple makes a good, satisfying snack. Wish we were hooking up our trailer! Too hot to go anywhere. Enjoy your trip!

Sometimes adding more calories or just having a "splurge" meal will jump start your metabolism to start losing again. You probably do need to eat part of your exercise calories. It seems to work for lots of people. Keep up the good work! Love your profile picture!

The past doesn't equal the future. Try not to think of this as a diet, but a lifestyle change. Start making healthier choices and the important thing in the beginning is to get in the habit of logging everything that you eat, even if you go over. You will eventually realize what foods fill you up and make you feel better…

Good question. I have a mini-trampoline and would like to know how many calories I burn on that, too.

Great story! Congratulations and wishing you a lifetime of health and happiness!
