I followed the plan for most of the last month, but didn't really finish "testing" foods. Got stuck on safe foods and then tend to go "off plan" for the weekends. Over all, I feel much better and found out a lot about what my body reacts to. I lost six pounds and have been able to keep it off. It is so easy to go back to…

How about an apple and peanut butter for breakfast?

I am on Synthroid and it does say to avoid high fiber and soy, also. That really makes breakfast hard! I frequently eat a veggie omelet without cheese and try to avoid high fiber breakfast foods until a couple of hours later. Sometimes I just wait 2 hours to eat if I want cereal or toast or something else with fiber.…

These days you really need to do lots of research yourself and make educated decisions with your doctors. My suggestion is to reduce sugars and white flour, white potatoes, white breads, and sweets and increase your exercise to help with your triglycerides. You might look into Dr. Joel Fuhrman's information. He promotes…

The pedometer may not be accurate for calories because it probably does not account for your height and weight in the calorie burn. I use mine almost every day and am aiming for 10,000 plus steps a day.

It is difficult if you don't want a lot of carbs or sugar first thing in the morning. You might try having non-breakfast food like lentils or beans for breakfast, maybe a black bean burrito for on the go? Hummus is good, too. Maybe make your own breakfast hummus and instead of spicy, add some pumpkin and cinnamon?

Have you tried sweet potatoes? Acorn squash or butternut squash are good, too. Zucchini, yellow summer squash, onions, cauliflower, maybe try some kale in a salad. Add some frozen spinach to a pasta dish. How about beans? Roast some onions, carrots and potatoes in olive oil as a wonderful side to a meal. Keep trying new…

Congratulations on losing 101 pounds! That's awesome!! For Thanksgiving, try roasting some acorn or butternut squash. Eat more healthy vegetables instead of mashed potatoes or casseroles. Keep up the great work!!

Try dipping crisp apple slices in salsa. Air popped popcorn is good when you need something crunchy.

Start taking probiotics to help repair your gut. Eat yogurt, also. Wishing you the best as you heal. It will get better. Just takes awhile to see what bothers you as we are all different. Citrus can be an issue, as well. Also, you may need to avoid ibruprofin and aspirin, at least until you heal.

That is so wonderful!! You are working hard and getting healthier! The ultimate goal!:flowerforyou:

First off, prayers for your husband and for you and your family! I think that adding in peanut butter to things he likes would be good. Maybe make some healthy muffins. Does he like cornbread and ham? You could make cornbread muffins with ham and cheese that would be easy to take to work for lunch. Try adding a healthy…

Chew some gum, preferably a mint flavor, and you won't want the other stuff as much. Hope this helps!

Take probiotics and eat plain yogurt, as well. Hope this helps!

Roast them. Cut into wedges or chunks and drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper. Bake in oven at a medium-high heat until fork tender. Delicious!

I would suggest taking a probiotic, avoid processed foods and possible remove gluten from your diet. Best wishes and hope you feel better soon!

Congratulations on taking this first step to better health! You can do this and there are tons of people on here to help you and support you. My suggestion would be to just start logging in everything that you eat and drink. Play around with it and get used to logging in your portions and food choices. Make it a habit and…

Thank you to all that donate blood! I have had to have transfusions in the past. You never know who will suddenly need blood and there are many different reasons why someone would (i.e. car accidents, bleeding ulcers, diseases, etc.). Thanks for your time and generous donation! Drink lots of water and have a good snack…
