GERD-safe recipes?
I finally went to the doctor a few days ago and was diagnosed with GERD. She gave me this huge long list of foods I can't have until we get it under control (including coffee, tea, carbonated drinks, and chocolate, which will help with the diet!). But I also have to avoid dairy products, tomatoes, garlic, and onions. So that voids out almost every recipe in my stash. Do you guys know of any good, acid-free recipes? I'm starving to death eating nothing but oatmeal and broccoli!

I use to have GERD so bad I was on 2 different meds and still got it everyday. I could not even lay down to sleep at night.
Since I lost weight and switched to whole grains, I don't get it anymore! I can't believe it.
Maybe it will help you too. Good luck.0 -
I have always liked whole grains (even as a kid, I HATED white bread) but maybe I should up them a little more. And I didn't even think that my weight might be contributing to it. To the gym! Thank you very much for the tips!!!0

Start taking probiotics to help repair your gut. Eat yogurt, also. Wishing you the best as you heal. It will get better. Just takes awhile to see what bothers you as we are all different. Citrus can be an issue, as well. Also, you may need to avoid ibruprofin and aspirin, at least until you heal.0

Is there a probiotic supplement you recommend or will any of them do? Avoiding citrus will be a pain, I loooove to cook with lemon. Thank you very much for the well-wishes, and good luck on all of your goals!0
