Probably shin splints. I would get some better shoes and maybe try finding a track or path to run on that isn't cement or asphalt. How are your portion sizes? Maybe for lunch just eat the sandwich and no soup? Leave out things like mayo and cheese. I am also on a 1200 plan. If you want to eat more maybe just go on a half hour walk on days that you don't have your spin class. That's what I do. Hope that helps. :)
