  • Lately I've tried to exercise and not log the 10,000 steps, and my setting is at sedentary. Sometimes I need to go out and do 4000 steps at the end of the day or go out with friends for 5,000 miles.
  • No, I have an pedometer. I've checked my route against other trackers and it's pretty accurate. Why do you ask.
  • Not a pickle. It's your boss's job to approve your vacation time and to make sure that staffing is up to snuff. If he has approved the time off, then he needs to take care of the issue. A gentle inquiry/reminder would be in order here. I wouldn't do the second one and would look into any others you could do. Or you could…

  • Thanks! I take a multivitamin and have good potassium. I will do a long gentle stretch and a couple of half mile walks and maybe a short workout. If I hurt I will stop. And I'll take a hot soak tonight.
  • Yes, but your band size will be smaller too. Also, different people lose fat in different areas.

  • Some of my close friends I met through the kids- they're fellow parents. Many of the parents don't click, but once in a while- boom!- there it is! My husband and I have 2 couples we see regularly and have dinner with. And, luckily, our kids get along. Also, joining a rec sports team, church/community service groups,…
  • We have confession available Sunday before and during Mass from 7am to 2pm and masses every hour (and confession weekdays and Saturdays also). I go to confession as needed- usually once a month. I went about a week and a half ago.

  • I, too, gained a lot of wait after my last miscarriage. I'm sorry for your loss. I understand the pulling you up by your bootstraps feeling. I have a couple of thoughts about what seems to work: Lots of water Lots of 200-300 calorie meals (oatmeal, green salads w/ low-cal dressing, fresh fruits and veggies, homemade soups)…
  • I think rainbowbow gave a good answer. My MFP says 1200 and it wasn't enough food. My BMR said more like 1500. I eat that and any extra calories that I earn from exercise. Drink lots of water and then be patient. It took my body 2 weeks to figure it out, but now I am losing weight and inches eating this way and I am not…
  • I had set mine to 1200, but found that I was always hungry. I went online and figured that 1500 (before exercising) was more realistic. I try like heck to eat my calories back from exercise, so if I workout for 300 I get 300 more. I also drink a lot of water. Just so you know, after I reset a little weight but once my body…
  • How about, "Really? everyone with kids is fat?" Honestly, having 2 teenagers and a preschooler I can guarantee you that isn't true. There were years that I didn't take care of myself, but the children can't be blamed or used as an excuse for that. They brought no food into the house- I did! Anything you put in your mouth…
  • I'm in Sacramento- feel free to add me. My kids are...get this...17, 15 and 5!
  • AoD or ED1...agreed that ED2 doesn't hold up so well. But I really have more of a little soft spot for AoD.
  • Agreed. I went from a 38DD to a 34DD and as I got within 15 lbs. (6.5-7kilos) I finally went down to a 2 cup sizes. We measure band (under your chest) as the number and the cup size (your band measurement subtracted from cup) The cup sizes go AAA, AA, A, B, C, D, DD, DDD.... etc. I am 40 inch cup and 34 inch band now so am…
  • Sacramento, California
  • As does Germany.
  • I've used them for a couple of years, usually after having had no bread or pasta for a couple of weeks. I get the craving and it does, when properly prepared, fulfill it for me. Is pasta better? Heck, yes! Is it acceptable? For me, absolutely.
  • I am in a mixed-geek marriage. I am Doctor Who, D&D, Justice League (but Marvel tolerant), scifi, anime, etc. Hubby was Star Trek, Star Wars, Duke Nukem, Palladium, etc. We found common ground with video games, board games, GURPS, Weird Al, Star Trek and Star Wars, among others. We are now a full-fledged geeky gaming…
  • And I think polling showed that this was the time for Obama to make a statement. I was listening to an interview with a military chaplain. One of the objections is that chaplains would be required to officiate at weddings even if it compromised their religious beliefs. (The argument being you can't discriminate as a…
  • Well, I use little processed (I use the food equivalents to guess, so you'll see some brands) and make 95% from scratch. The garden isn't fully in yet, so I have less homegrown than I'd like. Just hooked up with someone to get fresh eggs, and have tried to buy hormone-free or quarter of animals. I might be a little bit too…
  • Thanks. I have boosted my calorie intake this week to 1500 after reading about BMR. I am NOT measuring inches right now, but know I am not cheating, which I keep telling myself. If I understand it right, my BMR was about 1830. So I moved to 1500 and then eat all my exercise - for example, if I exercise for 300 calories I…

  • Oops! I do eat a lot of watermelon; however, the quick add calories are things like homemade minestrone soup with no beans but a TON of veggies. I try to do 8-10 fruits and veggies a day. But I'll try to cut down on the watermelon! The weight gain has been stubborn and unmoving for almost a week, but I will try to breathe.…

  • My dad throws his favorite fruit into it to mix it up a bit. I LOVE 3 scrambled egg whites, an egg yolk, a tablespoon of milk, and 1.5 ounces of ham or turkey. It's super-yummy.
  • Also great at AD/BC. I watched it after being forced to see Jesus Christ Superstar and bits of Godspell. It was totally worth it!

  • I do, but haven't had any problems. Sorry.
  • So jealous! We  Katie Cook in my house. She is THA BOMB! She's done wonderful pictures of my kids that we use as their family photos on the walls.

  • I had my youngest child at 36 and found that kegels seriously do wonder for this (and other things!). I highly recommend them. I still have occasional "water" issues, but not very much. Really- kegels.
