  • 24 with my 1st 31 with my 2nd.
  • It depends on what my schedule is for that day. On days I go to the gym right after work then we eat around 6, if it's a day where I go home 1st then to the gym then around 8. I try to make sure dinner is within 2 hours of my workout, a recommendation from my trainer. Weekends are normally rest days for me and we usually…
  • I see the complete opposite side of this. I am a ServSafe instructor and prepared food most be kept at certain temperatures to be safe to eat. The food that is being thrown away may look fine and even smell fine, but if is past it's holding date or was time/temperature abused it very well could make you, or anyone else…
  • High carbs and low protein, not my thing.
  • My suggestion is figure out your BMR and TDEE. You need to eat a deficit from your TDEE by about 500 a day to lose 1lb a week. But you want to be sure that you are eating above your BMR. If you are primarily sedentary and don't exercise regularly then figure your numbers as sedentary, but be sure to eat your exercise…
  • I really think the best thing you could do for yourself is seek professional help. It's your choice as to whether you tell any of your friends or family, but I'm sure if you did tell someone they would want to help you overcome this. It took a lot of courage to come on here and post this. Keep using how you felt this…
  • I've lost 38lbs and have about another 40 to go before I reach my goal, although that number can change and probably will once I get closer to it and see what my BF% is. My daily intake goal is 1800 and I try to NET at least 1640 a day. I started back in July for the 1st couple weeks went with MFP's goal which was around…
  • I love Laughing Cow Creamy Swiss, only 35 calories a wedge and yummy! For sandwiches I use cheeses made with 2% milk.
  • I've heard that MFP is low for sugar, and of course doesn't differentiate between natural sugars and added sugars. I don't bother tho track sugars. If I eat one piece of fruit then I'm over for the day. IMO keep your added sugars limited and don't worry about natural ones.

  • It all depends on the circumstances. I would not forbid my husband from doing something. I'm not his mother and we are partners. If he wanted to go hang out at a strip club with his buddies and told me about it I wouldn't care. If he was sneaking around behind my back, hiding it from my and lying there would be a problem.
  • ITA! I've done all the fad diets and there was no true sense of accomplishment or pride. When people would ask how I lost the weight I was embarrassed to tell them the truth. Now I am doing it the healthy/right way and I have no problem telling anyone that asks me that I'm eating healthy, balanced foods, logging and…
  • Anyone can feel free to add me also. Somedays I do much better then others on eating clean and hitting my macros, but I'm a work in progress ;) I'm serious about working out and making this a lifestyle change, I am not "dieting" but I do watch my diet. This is about getting healthy and being the best me that I can be for…
  • Unfortunately you can not "spot reduce" Doing cardio and burning calories will help you lose weight from all over. Once you get your weight down to your ideal BF % you can concentrate on toning specific areas, but unless you lose the fat 1st it's not going to make much of a difference.
  • I still eat out 3-4 times a week. If this was something I had to give up I wouldn't have been able to stick with it. I go to restaurants that I know what my options are and choose wisely. I have made the OP's mistake before and now if I go somewhere new I check it out before hand to avoid doing it again. And I still have…
  • I do a mix of Cardio and Strength, I work with a trainer and change my routines up often. At least one of my cardio days I do interval training and I'm in the gym 4-6 days a week, depending on my schedule, anywhere from 30mins to an hour at a time.
  • I'd say count what you're actually playing. I have no idea how MFP would count it, but my guess is that it'd be for however many mins you typed in. If you log an exercise as 45mins but only actually did move for 15 of that time that's a huge calorie burn difference.
  • Bless you, just what my tired eyes needed this morning :D
  • I face this often as my bestfriend has not fully gotten on the healthy train, although I did finally get her to join the gym with me. When we have dinner at her house, whether it's for a birthday/anniversary party or just hanging out, I enjoy myself. I eat what I want in moderation and track it. If I'm over oh well, I do…
  • Hopping on the nasty train also. I found them to be horrible. Smelled awful, were slimy and mushy, I honestly couldn't gag down more then a few bites. I would much rather eat some wholesome whole grain pasta and work the calories into my daily goal then suffer through another meal of those.
  • Ingredients 1 whole Fryer Chicken, Cut Up (or 3 Cups Cooked Chicken) 1 whole Medium Onion, Diced 4 cloves Garlic, Minced 2 whole Cans Green Chilies, Chopped 1 pound Dried Beans, Rinsed 8 cups Chicken Broth 1 whole Jalapeno, Sliced 1-½ Tablespoon Ground Cumin ½ teaspoons Paprika ½ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper Salt To Taste…

  • I loved Curves for about the 1st 3-4 months I was a member. But like others have said it got very boring and repetitive. I will say that it got me in the routine of exercising and really helped jump start my weight loss. The manager of the club I belonged to was great, super motivational and supportive.

  • I felt really bad for Daphne and her brother when they 1st got back to the Ranch, but their attitude really has sucked. Last night's decision was pure crazy and IMO she reaped what she sowed. Conda I could not stand in the beginning, but she's starting to grow on me. She is very immature and can be a pot stirrer but the…
  • Flattered, yes. But I really wouldn't want him too and there is no way I would get his on mine. I don't know about it being the kiss of death for a relationship, but I just think it's tacky. My husband had all 3 of our kids names tattooed on his arm not long after our youngest (and only child that is biologically both of…
  • Doing elevated push ups is a great place to start. I also have a very hard time with push ups and my PT has me do elevated ones from a bench. They are becoming easier, but definitely still a challenge. On days I do Boot Camp and doing elevated ones aren't an option I've found if I start flat on the floor and push up from…
  • Great job! You look amazing!
  • When I 1st started I made small changes. Switched breads/pastas to whole grain, started using frozen veggies instead of canned, switched to low fat/2% cheeses, switched to Greek yogurt and started getting everything I could without added sugar. Items that I couldn't get without added sugar I'd read the label and go for…
