Not true. Their bread has a very short shelf life and is only good for a few days after being removed from the freezer and the meat is the same as what you buy at the grocery store as far as how long it's good for. I'm not posting this in support of McDonald's, I just don't like when incorrect info is given. it just causes…

I've found one of the hardest things about this journey is being honest when I blow it for the day. If I can be honest with myself & track accurately then I have no reason to beat myself up. We are not perfect and can't expect all of our habits to change over night. So log your binge and move on.

It has been proven that the slower you lose the weight the more likely you are to keep it off.

I have my calorie goal set at 1620cals, MFP says that I will lose .2lbs a week and I have lost well over that in the last month I've lost over 4 pounds. But I have my activity level set on sedentary, since I have an office job and I do not count my exercise as "activity level" I generally do eat back most if not all of my…

I do this, minus taking in my actual activity level, I'd rather count my exercise when I do it. I read an article by a women that did this and has successfully kept the weight off, so I figured I'd give it a try. it's been a bit less then a month and I'm still consistently losing.

For me it's all about the calories, I love whole eggs and still eat them if I feel like it, but if I'm looking for a high protein/low cal filling breakfast then I choose egg whites.
-
Zucchini and Squash couldn't stand either one as a kid now I love them.

I wear a HRM and log by the calories it tells me I burned. I type in whatever I did and if it's not already in the database I add it.

^^this^^ but I have 4 cats

Here's my suggestion for eating at work, take low cal high fiber/protein items as snacks, work them into your calorie goals for the day and don't decide to go visit the break room to nibble on a bit extra. I took an office job back in Sept, this was after being part time for over a year which allowed me to stay on track…

Water Intoxication is actually a rare condition. Yes it is a real condition and very serious, but not all that common. It is most often found when someone is participating in an endurance sport where they are sweating profusely and only replenishing with plain water. It can also happen if you chug/guzzle a large (not a…

I agree that having a HRM is the most accurate way to know what you're actually burning. Having said that, yes I do think it's important to NET at least 1200 calories a day. Your body needs fuel (food/calories) to run effectively. If you aren't eating enough, esp when adding exercise into the mix, you are not going about…

I have a desk job which I always thought I'd love. But after working as a Restaurant Manager for years it is very boring and I really don't care much for it. I do get up about 1x an hour and walk to the rest room or copy machine.

I have a membership and agree completely with, you get out of it what you put into it. I also have a Smart Card and definitely recommend getting one. I joined in August 2011 and lost about 20lbs while actively using my membership. I did however recently join another gym, mainly because I tend to get bored and lose interest…

I belong to 2 different gyms, both of which are less then a 10 min drive from my house and in between home and work. Makes it very convenient for me to go as soon as I get off work, that way I don't get home and lazy. Also across the street from the sub division I live in is a huge park with a great walking trail. During…

I drink tons of water, I was one of those people that never touched plain water and now I love it. I drink well over 3 Liters most days though, can you tell me why this isn't good for me? I've researched water consumption several times and have found many reports that say you should drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces…

I drink well over a gallon a day, and have great success.

Yep it was, I had the Elite which had resistance weights on it so it was a good work out.

I need to figure out how post into threads still, but I have 4 babies. Sasha the b^tch, Buttercup, the mama. Mini my sweet baby girl who I rescued and hand feed and Bitty the lone boy.

Thanks for the invite! I believe you can never have too much motivation or support :) In addition to this group I also belong to a group on FB called FitForLife, This is a complete lifestyle change for me, so it's important that I surround myself with others that have similar goals that will help hold me accountable.

I had a Gazelle several years ago, loved it and used it. I lost about 30 lbs using it. Of course I got pregnant with my youngest daughter, moved and never took it out of storage. My husband eventually got sick of it taking up space and got rid of it. I have an Ab Lounge, thank God I bought it used for $20 bucks because it…

I agree with this to a point. My goals are absolutely attainable and I will reach them this time. But I'm having to work for them. My husband on the other hand did not have to work as hard and has maintained his goal weight quite easily.

I'm going to go with men also. My husband dropped 50lbs without much effort on his part and has kept it off for over 3 years now, in that time I've lost 60lbs regained all of it plus 10, then restarted and lost 30 of the 60 I gained.

My daily goal is higher than what MFP suggests. It works for me, I'm losing, able to meet my nutritional goals and feel satisfied at the end of the day. IMO MFP's goals are a great starting point but not the end all be all. I've played around with my intake for the last 6 months that I've been on here. I've done 1200…

I agree with Dan, plus at 1200 calories you're depriving yourself and are much more likely to binge or just plain give up. For me I'd rather have a realistic calorie goal for my lifestyle and habits, lose slowly and keep it off then go with such a low goal that in a month I'm going to feel like I'm starving say f%*@ it and…

So did I, my sister teased me relentlessly. The stupid rhyme still creeps me out. Honestly, I'm a big baby, several movies still freak me out. The Ring, Strangers, The Omen, Children of the Corn, IT, Nightmare on Elm Street, Exorcist, I could go on. ^^^ This about sums it up.
