  • You are not alone.
  • I bake it with a bit of butter, cinnamon and sugar. I put mozzarella cheese on it and eat it like pasta and cheese. I pull it out and put spaghetti sauce on it. While it is tasty, it's NOT the same as pasta and is kind of an acquired taste. Good luck!!!
  • I eat an apple for a snack in the morning. Almonds are good. Cups of fat free pudding. One hundred calorie bags of popcorn are pretty big. A sandwich made with 100 calorie sandwich rounds and some sliced turkey is less than 200 calories. Mix some corn flakes in with the pudding cup!! Yum!! Raisins. Grapes. Beef Jerky...a…
  • I'm grateful for every minute bit off of mine!!!!! Hope yours slow down though if you want them to!!! If not, the rest of your body will catch up and you'll get used to it!!! Good luck...
  • Unfortunately, there are little old ladies who DO ask how much weight you have gained....right in the midst of a room of people......
  • This diet and soup has been around for years....and years...and years.....Dolly Parton soup it was called when I tried it 30 years ago.........soup is good....
  • Yes, it could easily be accurate. SOme foods have lots of calories and a splurge can consume tons of calories. Been there, done that. Hope to not be doing it on any more tomorrows.
  • If a RING made me lose weight it would be my "preeecccioussssss!"
  • I want to be to be able to get around better and not be so crippled up!!!
  • I like to have real conversations about my issues so I like to ask my own questions. Remember that no one has to answer if they don't want to answer. I'm all for the freedom to ask what you want to talk about!
  • My mama always said, "You never know what worker in the field relieved himself around your cabbage when it was growing or being picked." I think about that every time I think about NOT washing my cabbage.
  • My sugar attack hits at night, right before I go to bed. I've not found any secrets yet; I usually give in. Having something low cal on hand to easily grab sometimes works for me. I have tried having fruit ready to eat, low cal pudding cups, a spoonful of peanut butter, something I enjoy that would be lower cal. At home, I…
  • Before cooking, I satee onions, peppers, mushrooms, garlic...then add the water and the rice when boiling and let cook. When cooked, add a can or two of tomatoes. Eat it like that or hollow out bell peppers, stuff with rice then put in a vegetable steamer and steam till peppers are soft; you have meatless stuffed peppers.…
  • My hands have been a mess so lately I've been slathering them with Vaseline at night and putting socks on them to sleep in. Sometimes I warm olive oil and put on my hands and then put sugar in it and scrub. It sloughs all the dead skin off but if youh ave sores on your hands you might not want to do that. After that I…
  • Could you share the recipe with us?
  • I wish I didn't have to eat them but I'm limited on what I have time for at work. I have tried many and the only ones I like are the Weight Watchers Smart Ones. I don't eat any of them that have meat, but I like the ones that have pasta: Lasagna Florentine and Three Cheese Ziti. When I'm in a crunch I have one. I know they…
  • Thank you and I wish you all the best. It's hard...I've done it before but can't seem to find the motivation that helps me get through the day without blowing it at night... Good luck to you all on getting healthier.
  • Thank you all for the encouragement.
  • Snickers are gluten free!!!!!
  • Oh, I just saw my ticker for the first time on this post. That is totally wrong for me now..... :(
  • ...because myhealth can't afford for me not to stay on track.
  • Counseling can be helpful if you find someone who suits you and you feel comfortable talking to. Being a caregiver can be hard. I'm not even doing it full time but I've had to make a lot of life changes in order to take care of my mother. I understand but don't have any answers for you. You, however, are doing a wonderful…
  • I haven't used the site in a long time and am just now coming back. Being a care giver has changed my life, routine, etc. so much that I've put all my weight and more back on. I am going to try to start again today with doing better. Taking care of someone else is stressful and I've just not made time for myself this past…
  • Yes...struggling here....every day seems to be my "going to start over today" day...and I fail....... Good luck on your journey....I need some of that mysefl....

  • I spice mine up with TONS of ice!!!!! :) Actually, I have water in my ice, I think!!! I agree that water does have a flavor. Different towns/cities/etc. can have a different flavor, depending upon where the water comes from, whats in it, what the city adds to it, etc. I've tried oranges/strawberries/lemons in it, sliced…
  • Best wishes to you both, but mental illness is NOT meant to be a taboo subject and is NOT meant to be hidden. Oh, yes, our society has made it that way, but our society is wrong (about so many things, this being one of them). So, I'm glad to see that you are talking about it. It is in talking that people heal.......good…
  • Depends upon what works for you...but calories are calories....
  • Go dumpster diving!!! I raided the Dollar Stores dumpsters and also the recycling bins. The boxes in the dumpsters have usually already been cut flat but some good rolls of clear tape will fix those up in a hurry. If you have one of those big bins where people put in paper, cardboard, etc in different bins, that is what we…
  • Mom has a wound on her leg that we are trying to heal so she was not able to get out and go to church this morning. That is the only time she gets out of the house, except rare doctor visits, and it really disappoints her to have to miss church services. Otherwise, we are doing okay here. I need to try to bump up my…
