  • I love this comment! My sentiments exactly!
  • I have some loose skin on my stomach which is disappointing, because I work hard enough and now am getting to a body fat level where I should have visible abs. It'll never happen, but my stomach looks pretty smooth with shorts on. Still beats having all the fat around my gut, and I did all this to be healthy and avoid…
  • When people ask me how I've lost weight I tell them, Train, say your prayers, and eat your vitamins! Then I rip my shirt off in front of them!
  • Thanks for the feedback! I must admit that I have a small case of ffg syndrome (former fat guy) I actually want to I increase my muscle mass a bit, hence the strength training, but I'm obviously worried about regaining any of the fat I have worked so hard to lose.
  • Mine is 46.94%! Great job on the weight loss! 37% is very impressive!

  • Thanks for all of your compliments!! It's funny for me to think that I am inspiring to people, funny but awesome! I've found that the trick to losing weight and getting in shape is that ****spoiler alert***** there is no secret! Consistent hard work, dedication and calorie deficit will create results. I was and…
  • Didn't log, but did workout. My brother was home and I ate everything in sight. As of tonight I'm up 12 pounds since Wednesday, lots of water weight I'm sure but back on track tomorrow! Got my work cut out or me!
  • Great job on the weight loss by the way! 154 pounds is awesome!
  • This is not true for everyone, and I believe it has a lot to do with intensity of workouts! I work very hard and push myself intensely, when I log my exercise I tend to find that my polar ft40 reading is much higher than the mfp estimates, even after I back out the calories I would have burned at rest. I think the best…
  • I'm 6'1"and my highest weight was 362 and my current weight which is at goal is 195!
  • http://www.soheeleefitness.com/2012/01/23/cardio-bunny-stop-it-stop-it-now/ ^^^^Read this^^^^ Oh yeah, and lift heavy!
  • You're not eating or drinking enough. This is causing your body to do some strange things, like hold onto fat and retain the water it's getting. Read up on water retention, the answer is opposite of what you think. Drink more water, not less!
  • Move more, eat less, No surgery required! Now down 161 pounds! Log your food and exercise and you will see amazing results! Good luck on your journey and feel free to add me if you'd like.
  • I'm 6'2", started at 360 pounds and size 48/32, and am now 204 pounds and size 34/34. Almost into 32/34s!
  • My leg routine consists of squats and dead lifts. Really the only leg exercises you need to do. If you have energy for more after that than your not doing it right!
  • I agree that it sounds a little crazy, but I got to be 360 lbs by allowing food, cravings, and lack of willpower own me. I've lost the weight by taking control of my eating habits, and subtle reminders like a tummy grumble, make me feel fully in control. If I want to have an apple or a small snack, I will, I also do…
  • Going to bed hungry for me is a reminder of my victory and strength over food for the day. I'm not famished at bedtime, but I do get some stomach grumbles and feel hungry. I go to bed most days feeling totally strong and empowered that I am in control of my eating decisions and that food no longer controls or dictates…
  • I've lost 153 pounds in 8 months! You can do it! You need to accept that it well be hatred, there will be sacrifice involved, but if your diligent and willing to work out, then anything is possible! Biggest advice is tip be honest and accountable and log every bite you eat! This had made me successful, if you would like a…
  • In May I was a 50/32, now I'm in 34/34 pants. Somehow as I've lost weight I gained inches on my inseam! Shirts I went from a XXXL to a size Large. Feels fantastic! My original goal was 36 inch waist, not sure how much lower I'll go as I'm not at my goal weight yet!
  • Lift heavy weight! You can't tone muscle, either you grow it or you don't. Doing high reps of light weight is not a good use of your tome! Congrats on the weight loss, you're doing awesome, so keep it up!
  • If you're going to workout, I recommend judging by how it feels. You want to work at the maximum heart rate level you can sustain over time in your workout. The key is calorie burning. Don't get to bogged down in lingo such as fat burning, aerobic, and anaerobic zones. Working as hard as you are able to sustain will burn…
  • Total annihilation of anything that gets in my way, and wine, and beer, there will be beer! It will be glorious! After all it is just one day and I have an extra lot to be thankful for this year! The day after it is back to work and back on plan!
  • Diet and exercise only! Started out walking two miles a day at 360 pounds, kept increasing my walks week by week. Once I got up to walking five miles a day, I decided to try running. Long story sort I'm now running four miles at a time three times a week. I work full time, have an hour commute to work each way, am married…
  • I'm down 139 in 6 months! Keep challenging yourself! Make your workouts consistently more difficult, be diligent in tracking you're food, get a food scale, measure your portions, and always remember you can achieve anything you set out to do with focus and determination! Good luck!
  • How high is your heart rate going? My heart rate gets high quickly, and I'm averaging around 165bpm when I'm running. My body is just used to it. I suggest giving it another chance and maybe slowing your pace a little until your body can adjust to the work. Otherwise get checked out by a doctor. Heart issues are nothing to…
  • I've lost 137lbs in six months, so with hard work, diligence, willpower, and perseverance I've come to believe that almost anything is possible. Good luck!
  • I think by doing half and half every day you're short changing both a little bit. I work out six days a week. Having three dedicated cardio days and three lifting . I have an hour a day to workout, and feel I've been getting the best results from this mix. The important thing is that you are doing both! I've been…
  • You've definitely come to the right place! If you're willing to be diligent and follow through, there is no way you won't succeed. There are lots of people here who are willing to cheer you on, help you up when you fall, and provide encouragement when you feel you just can't do it anymore! There are so many incredibly…
  • One cup of cooked pasta is approx 2oz of uncooked which is usually around 200 calories. Most pasta sauces are around 90 calories for a half cup. You'll need to estimate how much ground turkey you used and the overall number of servings in the whole container. Hope this helps! Logging can be confusing until you get used to…
