Now get over it and get back to business.

I wish the girls would go away. Even when I shrunk myself down to the ridiculously inappropriate weight of 102 lbs, I was still a D-cup. I haven't followed through on a breast reduction, because the 6-8 weeks of no running would cause me to go insane.

I'm still stuck at two months...

Congratulations! :drinker:

I am a physician. I did my medical school research on nutrition. Not all doctors are the same.

I'm a physician. This is what I tell my patients.

Maybe it's because you're overtraining . . . if you can't run one mile well, the solution is not to run three miles a day. [/quote] Exactly!

When is MFP going to add a like button? I enjoy reading the responses to these threads...

Depends on if you have any underlying medical conditions. CHF or CKD patients can put on that much water weight in 1-2 days, let alone 2 weeks. You did not provide enough information.

My hubs has a recipe for peanut oatmeal protein bars. Delicious!

I use my Garmin FR620 to track my runs, and I use the Garmin Vivofit to track my background activity (I used to use Fitbit for this). Activity trackers and sports watches are not interchangeable. If you want pace, splits, elevation, etc, you should invest in a GPS watch. If you run on a treadmill a lot, you can pair it…

I'm an ICU doctor with fairly frequent weekend and overnight call, but I find a way. Usually at 5:00 AM when work and family cannot interfere. Sometimes a quickie in the middle of the day. Sometimes I just have to pop the kid in the jogging stroller and take him with me. Find a way.

Way to power through. Congratulations! :flowerforyou:

I've had the Zip and now have a Flex. The Fitbit devices seem to be quite accurate. After you sync leave it connected to your phone and you can actually watch the counter as it counts your steps. During runs, I've compared the number of steps with the cadence data from my Garmin. Once again, seems quite reliable. The…

I grew up in Bay Shore, but I live in Georgia now. Miss home...

Right here. I'm a running fool (at least that's what hubs says). Feel free to friend me. :flowerforyou:

1 Joule (a measure of work) is equivalent to 1 kg*(m/s)^2. If you look at the equation you can see that it is directly proportional to mass. Obviously it's not quite this simple and straightforward as there are other variables (such as heart rate, form, efficiency, etc), but you get the idea. Based on your weight, the…

Fiona Moving Comfort is God's gift to big boobie women. Keeps the twins (DD) in check even on longer runs.

I'm not a swimmer, but I noticed this in the apps section: FINIS Swimsense:flowerforyou:

This is why results should not be given over the phone by a nonphysician. Context is important in interpreting test results. I'm a physician, so I really understand this.

I guess it depends on how you view exercise. All I want for Christmas is an hour to myself to go for a run. But I enjoy running.
