Yes I totally agree! Please feel free to add me as well! I was here in 2011/2012 and lost a lot of weight with the help of my motivating friends. Now that I came back a few years later they are no longer on MFP so I'm trying to rebuild that network again! It's always better with motivation buddies :)

Hi! Please feel free to add me as well. It's always better with a support network to keep you motivated! :)

Please feel free to add me as well! It's always easier with a support network! I am here every day and trying to lose 50 lbs :)

I just restarted about a week ago as well. I lost a lot of weight previously with MFP but it has slowly crept back on. I have about 50 lbs to lose now and could use some supportive friends because my "old" MFP friends aren't here anymore! Please feel free to add me :). It's always easier with encouraging friends!!

I am doing the same!! I was very active on MFP about 2 years ago and slowly the weight has crept on since then. Now I'm back where I started at 170 lbs and 5'3"! Please feel free to add me, I'm very motivated and here every day! I think encouraging friends were a strong motivator for my success previously but all of my…

Ohhhhh I see, thanks!

I've heard about her somewhere...this sounds good. Is it a paid program or available for free?

I am in the absolute same situation (including your numbers!!). I think the reason for my success before was that I had a strong support network on MFP with people who were on daily and we're motivating and encouraging. Ultimately, you just need to take some time to re-establish your healthy habits and things will get much…

You're doing great! Keep it up!

I agree with the above posters, you can't target a specific area for weight loss. You can do exercises to tone your midsection, but unless you lose the fat covering it up it's not going to really do you much good. That being said, try to eat foods that are high in volume but low in calories (salads, for example). Also,…

Haha, your post is funny. Totally a nerd here! Sci-fi, fantasy, video games...anything really :) I'm trying to lose my "oopsie" 40 lbs as well! Motivation buddies?

Starbucks! I realized not too long ago that my go-to beverage was 500 calories. Ughhhh. Also...nuts. I snacked on almonds because they were a "healthy" snack, but if you eat more than about 20 that's up in the 200 calorie range! I probably easily ate 50 in a sitting before I realized it.

I used to have the same exact problem!! I'd completely cave the moment I got home from work in the afternoon. What I started doing instead is going directly to the gym (my gym has 4:30 and 5:30 fitness classes so it's perfect) so that I could at least "earn" some of those calories. It worked for me and also made me more…

Hey! I'm in the same boat, I'm 27 and have about 20 lbs to lose and I'm also working on toning (something I completely omitted up until now, hah). Please feel free to add me, I'm on here daily!

January 11th Did you track absolutely everything you ate and drank today? Yes Did you stay under your calorie limit? No :( Were you active for at least 20 minutes? YES! :) I'm still working on controlling my portions, but tracking helps immensely!

I like Kind bars. Super healthy snack and delicious too. Otherwise I try to get unsweetened tea or water (so many drink temptations) and definitely stay away from the candy and pastry isles!

Add me add me!! :D I joined MFP way back in 2011 and lost about 30 lbs with the help of MFP! Then I took a long break from logging, gained most of it back (oops), and now I'm back to turn things around! Unfortunately, most of my old buddies have also quit since then. I could use some new friends - we can keep each other…

I'm 5'3" and once went from 165 to 140. It took me about a year because I generally lose weight slowly but it's very possible! I have since then gained the weight back (oops) and am trying again! Walking is a great workout but it does take a little longer to get a significant calorie burn. Try to aim for 60 minutes rather…

Vegan quinoa chili! - soooooo good and filling, and high in protein! You can put in a variety of beans, veggies, quinoa..whatever you like really, and then just let it sit in the slow cooker for a few hours. http://www.savvyvegetarian.com/vegetarian-recipes/quinoa-chili.php I leave out the bay leaf, it adds a weird taste…

Eating healthy and cheaply starts by deciding to cook most of your meals at home. It's -very- doable to eat well on $200 a month, especially if you're just feeding yourself. I would skip the shakeology, it's an overpriced marketing trick (sorry shakeology reps! haha). You can make filling, wholesome foods for cheaper. A…

I just started working out at home also (canceled my gym membership a week ago). I haven't really figured it out yet completely... I got some DVDs, weights, resistance bands and a yoga mat. There's also a lot of programs for free on Youtube so I was just going to do those...and of course running/walking/hiking outside :)

I'm in also! The ups and downs of weight loss are just part of the journey. Don't be ashamed of a slip-up day but rather just use it as motivation to turn yourself around when you realize it. Nobody is perfect, and the fact that you're back to try again is great! I also just caught myself at a BMI of 29...pretty much on…

I just recently came back to MFP after taking a long hiatus. Unfortunately, I also gained a lot of weight back when I stopped tracking what I ate...back at it now! I'm 26, 5'3". I keep my diary open and am very supportive. Feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:

I can completely relate. Today is my wake-up call also. I'm 10 lbs heavier than my highest weight on here, but I just updated it about 6 months ago! Feel free to add me, we can keep each other motivated :)

Well, you could bring it up with your girlfriend but in the end you really just need to work on your self control. It's not really fair to ask her to change her lifestyle and that of her kids in order to make it easier for you to stop binging. For me I find that just going cold turkey works best. If you indulge a little a…

That sounds fun!! I'm in! :)

Hi Kayla! Congratulations on your engagement, first of all!! I joined MFP for exactly the same reason as you about a year ago! I'm now happily married but would still like to continue and lose another 30-ish lbs. I'm here for support if you'd like to add me! :) Adi

I learned how terrible my diet used to be before I logged my calories! I'm pretty sure I was eating around 3000 without even realizing it. I'm much more aware of what I am putting in my mouth now!
-
I'm in a similar situation! I fell off the wagon in the last 2 or 3 months. After logging every calorie for almost a year I stopped doing it thinking I had it all figured out by now. But little things slipped into my diet here and there and I guess I didn't realize how easy it was to let it all slip! So now I'm back, about…

Hi, I'm 25 and have actually been on MFP for quite a while but fell off the wagon in recent months. I gained back about 6 lbs and it was a real reality check when I weighed in after Christmas. All that hard work down the drain? No thanks! I'm back and more motivated than ever :) Feel free to add me!!
