Thank you both. How do I figure out what my max HR should be. I am *really* new to using HRMs, lol. :blushing:

Ok, totally jumping in on an unrelated topic, but, you all seem to know what you're talking about and I'm stuck. How do I find out what my heart rate is supposed to be? Different target zones, high heart rate alarm, etc? Thanks and sorry for the hijack

I have seven children. Five that I gave birth to and twins that I 'inherited' when I married Hubby (and have raised as my own). When I had my first child twenty years ago, there was no such thing as 'baby led weaning'. It was simple. You started feeding your baby solids when they showed signs of being too hungry for milk…

Bit of a no brainer really....I have seven children

Hi  I'm a SAHM mum to six of my seven kids. Four boys aged 20, 16, 15 and 5. Three girls aged 18 and 14 (twins). Miss18 moved out. Mr15 and Mr5 are both Aspies. Mr5 was officially diagnosed two weeks ago, but we've known since he was 2yrs old. I've been with MyFitnessPal for a few months now. I've lost about 20 lb…

My teens are in the room and asking why I'm choking/crying/shaking with laughter. I REALLY can't tell them

I told my kids this for years. It worked

LMAO because the topic placed above this in 'Recent Forum Topics' is: "Need advice before I loose the will to live :("

The one that really winds me up is people coming into the gym DROWNED in perfume/aftershave/body spray. I have asthma. It's very well managed, but the one thing that sets it off is strong perfume smells. I'm not just smelling it, I'm inhaling it. I can taste it. I don't want to. Go away!

I had a friend whose two children were vastly overweight. Both she and her ex-husband were largish, but these kids were MASSIVE. They would eat crisps and chocolate bars for breakfast, washed down with cordial. For lunch was their school meal (no choice, set meal). After school they would go to the corner shop and buy a…

Dear 16yr old Son, I have been using MFP for 210 days and have never missed a log-in. I know how to track my calories, some would say religiously. I have a qualification in Holistic Therapies (including nutrition). I have been using the gym for many months now. I know how to use most of the equipment and am more than aware…

Am I the only one noticing the "MPF" here? Deliberate mistake or brilliant irony?

I'd have snapped her hand off for that Twix! My gym has a 'no food allowed' policy on the gym floor. There is a seated area opposite the changing roms, with a snack bar, should anyone feel hungry.

I am so, so sorry that you're having to go through this. My father also had an extremely rare type of cancer and had drawn up similar documents. I went over the options thousands of times in my head, never reaching a decision on what I would do should the occasion arise. The decision was taken out of my hands when Dad…

There are two teenaged girls that use our gym. Clothes suited more to high fashion than working out. Fully made up at all times. Waist length hair, never tied back. A couple of weeks ago, they were on the rowing machines while Hubby and I were on the cycles. Chat, chat, flick hair, one row, chat, chat *spots a man*…

I often pre-log meals, then alter them if I've eaten more or less than I thought I would. I don't pre-log exercise.
-
My cramps, quite literally, cripple me. Saying that, I've found that exercise, specifically walking or jogging, eases the pain temporarily.

I'm on Depo Privera so I don't have another little cherub (see user name). I'm on bipolar meds whose sole purpose is to fatten me up and make me tired. On a lighter note, Krispy Kreme's are soooo good! Fortunately, there isn't an outlet within a 2hr drive. Unfortunately, my MIL is wonderful and brings me some when she…

Fruit? Celery? Protein shake? Bah! Come to the Dark Side....we have cookies!

If you're really not at all hungry, don't force yourself. Otherwise? A doughnut will NOT kill you

I don't see the problem with saying that a pregnancy is an accident. It happens. Now saying that a child was a 'mistake', that would be different.
-
Well *that* was totally uncalled for. People are here offering congratulations, support, advice and sharing whether or not they had 'accidents'. Why single me out for spite?
-
Take a look at my user name. Do you REALLY think they were all planned? Lol.
-
First and foremost, congratulations :flowerforyou: Do you belong to a gym? The trainers there can usually give you some very valuable advice on training during pregnancy. Don't be disheartened.

And the 80s!

I want one! You're never too old to be fun and funky. At 37yrs old, I'm more fat and frumpy. As soon as I hit my goal weight, I'm treating myself to a whole new wardrobe of 'real me' clothes. The one 'fashion statement' that I REALLY despise, however, is the jeans-below-the-*kitten* look. My 16yr old son wears them. I got…

The app is simply called 'Barcode Scanner'. Once it's installed, your MFP app will automatically be able to use it.
