If you aren't caring for your health, you should pay more. If you're diabetic and work with your physician to achieve control, you don't get a surcharge. If you're hypertensive and don't act to reduce your bp - lose weight, exercise, take anti-hypertensives - you get a surcharge.

You need a new doctor in addition to more calories; going straight to a gastric bypass recommendation is extreme, particularly if you are over 5'3", given your starting weight of 220.

^^THIS. One of my triggers is pepperoni, but only from one national pizza chain - which I realized because of the diary. As others have said, dehydration is also a trigger. Hormonal changes are also a factor; I am on continuous birth control (no withdrawal weeks) to even things out.

It is not all organic. They do have good food, reasonable sized containers (not a store for the Costco crowd), and reasonable prices. I buy their Tea Tree Tingle shower products, black bean dip (I know, it's easy to make...), coffee, and assorted other stuff. I prefer to have an in store butcher, and have a very good one…

If kegels aren't working, and your family is complete...ask your doctor about a bladder neck suspension. It's an outpatient surgery, you can't lift anything heavy for a month or so, but it did the trick for me. Otherwise I couldn't run, jump, sneeze, etc,,,,

Our public schools do prohibit peanut butter in home lunches. However, if a child's school lunch account is empty (or negative) and they do not bring a home lunch, they are given a Smuckers Uncrustable, filled with peanut butter and jelly. Good to know they're consistent.

^^THIS. Nine more calories and a lot more flavor for half the price.

As others have noted, your weight is in a reasonable range. Per Wikipedia, a fit female has body fat of 21-24%, an average female 25--31%. Eat healthy. Build muscle (and bone). Enjoy your fitness.

Brupropion, the generic name for Wellbutrin, is also marketed at a lower dose for smoking cessation under the name Zyban. Tell your physician that you want to quit smoking and ask if that, or another product, would help you to achieve that goal. BTW, some women just don't have regular cycles.

Get a food scale and use grams. For uploading a recipe, you can use tsps for spices and such, I have in the past. Serious bakers go by weight, not volume, to offset the impact of sifting/settling/packing/etc.

Nordstrom and Zappos have more 1/2 sizes.

double post, oops

This. Gotta say I never even considered beige for my bridesmaids. Does it work with your skin tone?

AGREED! Thank you! You can come for a playdate any time!

THIS. And the value of herd immunity should not be ignored.

Congratulations!

Growing up, the parents of a friend would give up alcohol for Lent. They always lost weight, but spent 40 days being really grumpy. They probably should have taken up AA for Lent.

My DH joined MediFast to lose 50 pounds - which he did, without cheating (seriously, he did not cheat), in three months. Twenty percent of his body weight. But that is not my point. The MediFast program has you pay up front for their counseling and testing for the entirety of (1) the time they expect it to take for you to…

Drag his crap to the curb. Change The Locks.

They're probably similar to the Torani syrups coffee shops use -- 80 cal per 2 tablespoons. There are sugar free versions available as well - I used to add them to diet coke for variety.

What would you do if you were 1500 over yesterday? Get back on plan, or starve yourself today?

bananas.

CONGRATULATIONS! YOUR CONSISTENT EFFORTS HAVE PAID OFF! WELL DONE!!

I would agree you likely don't need to lose; from a BMI perspective you are squarely in the normal range. What else changed with your increased workload? Have you been tracking your food? Has your sleep pattern been impacted?

And someone got paid for that. Oy.

Can you get a refund? She's no help at all.

That's how I gained the weight in the first place. Avoiding the BLT's (thanks for giving them a name) is a focus.

How's your cash reserve? Do you have 6mo living expenses socked away (outside of a retirement account)?
