Right now my primary routine is the treadmill on "variety" setting (after so much time the incline raises or lowers). I'll do either a 30- or 40-minute workout, depending on what time I get up and how much time I have to prepare for work. The first 10% (3 or 4 minutes respectively) is done at 3.4mph. Then I bump up the…

There is an Android app for this site, and it has its pros and cons vs the site itself's pros and cons. I agree scanning the barcodes is easier, but the barcodes are not always accurate...sometimes you get a different product. So I'll say it's convenient when you're "on the go" or not near a computer, but I do prefer the…

To echo everyone else... YES. And, if after doing so, it becomes a noticeable issue, try lower-calorie juices. Tropicana's Trop 50 has only 50 calories per serving. Diet V-8 Splash has 10, and Diet Ocean Spray juices have 5.

Speaking from experience, but not to get too far off the topic of this thread, aspartame has had a not very pleasant effect on me after years of consumption, including memory loss. It's an artificial sweetener, compared to some of the more modern sweeteners that are derived from sugar (but, yes, are still artificial).

There are two mindsets to the whole diet soda thing (in general). On the one hand, you have the people who say that anything with zero calories is going to be better for you than those that have high fructose corn syrup (or even sugar, depending on what is sold in your area). And they make Diet Coke with Splenda, so if you…

Clothes! But since I'm picky with what I wear, gift cards for places where I can get clothes. Now that I don't have to shop in the big & tall section anymore, I think my options have expanded somewhat... :-)

My first instinct would be to say "no", and if you happen to lose weight by the next weigh-in, you can say that tonight helped contribute to that in its own way. I don't count the number of times I'm up and down out of my seat at work to get things from the printer; just the intense exercise I get when I'm on the treadmill.

I imagine that it's probably worse this time of year, with it being Halloween and there be sugar aplenty...

I have no social life either...heck, MFP *is* my social life...LOL. Actually that's not entirely true, I do have a social life but food isn't a factor.

If you're not getting sufficient vitamins with the foods you eat every day, then I would recommend taking a daily multivitamin. I take one in the morning, and I also take a Vitamin C at night.

I'm in Florida, several states away from Kentucky, but feel free to add me if the button-clicking desire becomes too overwhelming... LOL

I'm not against the concept of marriage, but it's not for everyone. I myself am separated for over 3 years and am just not in a financial position to file the paperwork to make it official. I try to encourage people NOT to go down the divorce route if they can possibly avoid it, but sometimes it can't be helped. So if…

Well I passed the 3500 mark, but failed in my challenge to do 4000 because of a family emergency. Will try again next week if things happen to smooth out. For the Week of 10/24/11 - 10/30/11: Goal: 4000 Calories Mon: 751 Calories burned, 45 minutes on treadmill (1) Tue: 749 Calories burned, 45 minutes on treadmill (2) Wed:…
