I don't use a workout video but I would recommend two workout programs for your phone or Ipad - Sworkit - has video clips showing how its done and Skimble accompanied with pictures of people doing the exercise Both are well worth a look - I use Sworkit the most burn around 230-250 calories for a 20 min full intensity…

I have watched the first of these programmes. The interesting thing I found was the reporter was having a go at one of the big companies ex chairman about letting their 'clients' down by not supporting them after their 'initial' weight loss. The reply was around them having a great business model, so many repeat…

Walking is underrated - it certainly was by myself. I bough a Fitbit one in December and tried to walk 10000 steps each day. Since December I've lost over 2 stones in weight I've recently started to use two programs on my Ipad - Sworkit and Skimble - both do indoor cardio workouts

Hi All I've just read all 17 pages of this thread. What an awesome bunch has gathered here - makes my NSV seem insignificant so to all you gals 'n guys out there VERY WELL DONE YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! keep them coming they will serve as inspiration for all to follow
-
Stood on the scales and the %body fat was less than 30% ! It was only 29.3% but I'll take that! Well done for all MFP'rs and you NSV's!

If it's done at sensible pace your body will adapt and as you change shape the 'loose' bits will tighten up. If it was all just sucked out it would be empty sacs. If it's done so that it's getting burned then the body will adapt and 'suck it in' for us! Just keep going nice and sensible as you're doing and the results will…

Fantastic transformation - Well done you certainly can help give others inspiration to follow your example and show what can be done with the correct mindset and determination. Congratulations you look great!

Fantastic achievement! Good for you that you didn't accept the way you were treated and found another doctor who cared. You then took the indicative again and didn't accept being as you were, and then changed - not just changed but transformed! A great inspiration to others Well done you look fantastic

I did try Ctrl F with no success - I put myself back in but I'll still keep up with logging etc any extra motivation can only be good! keep up the good work

Hi When I went to enter my weight from today I found that my entry from last week had gone! I made a copy of the spreadsheet and was on it at row 360 - this week gone! I looked up and down the list, tried searching etc but no entry - I thought the sheet automatically saved after a certain amount on time. Am I doing…

Excellent result MidWestMissy - be proud! Good on you for not shying away from the cameras at any part of your journey!

Fantastic story - What a success you must be so proud of yourself! You now have given so many people the belief that it is possible - Well done I thought I was doing ok losing 27 lbs but 69 lbs !!!! WoW!!!!! Keep up the good work
-
This is probably a dumb question but does this Autosave when finished entering your name etc? I thought I'd done this previously but it doesn't seem to have saved it
-
I've used Mapmywalk/run - I've found them to be about 30% higher in calories burned than my Polar FT HRM Near enough as makes any real odds and it's always useful to have an awareness of how much you can burn by walking - under rated in my opinion

It's just been said above me - well done in taking the first step. When I took that step myself I also bought a Fitbit one which is basically a fancy pedometer which counts your steps, monitors stairs climbed and monitors how restless (or not) you are when sleeping. I'd highly recommend it, it certainly motivates me to get…

Fantastic well done for making those first steps and thank you for sharing your pics -you will be an inspiration to others who want to make a difference like you own. Good luck with the ongoing challenge
-
I'd like in - I've managed to lose 12.7 kg or so but have stalled I need a challenge to motivate me especially after I rerun from holiday on an all inclusive in Mexico! July 1st will be ideal!

Hi -first thing I'd say is lift your head up and say out loud " I am going to win this fight" there are lots of people who have been where you are and decided enough was enough. You've made the first step -admitted your not happy with yourself and that you want to do something about it. That's an excellent start. Lots of…

Best advice I can give is monitor what you eat and drink - log it honestly on MFP and try to exercise more than before. I'm now walking every lunchtime for 30-40 mins and I've found that helps enormously. Since December I've lost over 25 lbs so it can be done. The more you lose the better you feel. Keep focussed and you'll…

I found drinking 2 litres of water difficult - I then started using sugar free blackcurrant juice - much more palatable. Water is best as there are no additives etc but it's all about being able to drink it in sufficient quantities to keep you hydrated

As Lauren says some running shops will video your running action to see if you pronate (surface of foot facing downward or towards the back) or supinate which is the opposite. If that was the case though I think you would be experiencing problems with your knees or hips as well - My son had this issue with pronation which…

Peel and chop into 1 cm cubes, do the same with carrots peel and chop into cubes. Boil for about 15 mins or until they are soft then mash with a little butter

Hi Is it the back of your ankle that is sore? I had issues before whilst refereeing football and both my ankles were very painful. I went to the physiotherapist for treatment. It was my Achilles that were giving me issues. You cannot 'stretch' them but you can 'mobilise' them. Before any exercise and if you can several…

I managed to 'forget/miss" a few days so I'm restarting today - 50 were done after my 5K run

Starting Weight 176 lbs or 80 kg I'd like to lose a few more lbs to add to the ones already lost. Good luck everyone
