for those with a gluten allergy it is NOT a fad....I get physically ILL when I consume gluten so this is not a "fad" for me. Now, for others who arent sensitive to gluten or who don't know if they are, then yes it could be a fad like the low fat thing.

i'm not crazy strict, I try to establish a balance of "mostly" paleo with the occasional treat as needed to maintain a sustainable diet/life balance. I still eat some diary because it doesnt upset my tummy.

I also want to say CrossFit isn't the end all be all solution, but it has worked for me and tons of my friends. Also, eating is 80% of the battle and my diet has significantly improved from my vegetarian ways consisting of lean cushiness "healthy" whole grains, and lots of faux meat products.

Id pick a weight that is 40-50% of your 1RM for that volume of reps, something that you can do 50 of and still keep the form. since they said squat clean and jerk--id say its a squat clean <pause> jerk. i do weekly weigh ins, but they have no bearing on my plan--i will keep up with the 30 day challenge as is regardless of what the scale says.
