I can't get chicken down regardless of how I cook it. Funny I only have trouble at night. I can eat chicken during the day with no problem. My band is so picky. But I still love it!!

Sometimes I hate weekends. I do much better during the week because it is so structured. Saturdays are usually the worst!

Pizza and French Fries. Add to that no Gym/Recess because every teacher is freaking out about NCLB (with good reason) and then wonder why are kids are so obese.........Only the government would be so ignorant!

If it weren't for Crystal Lite I would never drink water. I drink one bottle w/c.l and then force myself to drink one bottle of plain water. That's the only way I can tolerate it.

380# the day I saw the surgeon the first time. 367# the day of lap band surgery. 326# today.

Very good. Kids are great motivators.

Frustrating week! Not a pound down (or up, that's good I guess). Time to re-evaluate the diet.

There's nothing better than a clothing NSV. Way to go.

Sending a friend request now. Have lost almost 60 and still have 150 to lose. I started at 380 and want to be 160-170.

You can do 4# in 2 weeks. I have faith.

What doesn't work for me: Letting myself get too hungry. I always eat too fast and then get sick. What does work: Weighing on a daily basis. I know you aren't suppose to, but it keeps me accountable.

Great week last week. Met most of the mini goals. Drank a ton of water. enough to fill a small lake i think......When will my bladder get used to all the water. Sometimes I think I need to move my computer and phone into the ladies room at work....I am sure my body will get used to it soon. New week, new me......Hope…

Just one word.....CHEETOS!!

Was taking Metformin 1500mg and Glimipiride 4mg/day. After losing 50# I am no longer taking metformin, only taking 2mg of Glimipiride and my A1c went from 7.5 to 5.8 in a matter of 4 months.

I am not planning on worrying about it that day. I know how to eat and what to eat. I will enjoy myself, log my calories and if I go over I will put extra time in the gym the next day. I wish holidays were more focused on family and less focused on food.

So, as of today I have 5.5 cc's in my 10cc band. Had to go to the surgeon and have 1/2 cc taken out. I was too tight. Although I could get water and liquids down and sometimes soft foods, getting dense protein to stay down was impossible. I gave it 10 days to loosen and the swelling to go down, but alas, nothing worked.…

I can't eat bread... but that's okay, it was too much bread(starches) that got me where I am. I also have a hard time with grilled chicken breast (too dry) but I can eat dark meat. That will be nice at Thanksgiving, everyone wants white me so there's more dark meat for me. But basically, that's all. I can eat whatever I…

Boredom and head hunger is the worst. It can be really hard to convince yourself that you are not hungry when your head is screaming something different.

I have 6 cc's in my 10 cc band. I have amazing restriction. Had my 3rd fill last week. Sometimes I think it might be too tight and then everything is fine. I have a finicky band. Breakfast before 7am is a no-no.

I had hit rock bottom at 380#. Was on diabetes meds, hbp meds, thyroid meds, depression meds. i knew I couldn't continue the way I was going. I went to a couple of seminars before I found Dr. McDowell at Baptist Metabolic Surgery Center. I immediately know I found the surgeon to take this challenge with. I was 367# the day…

Me, pick Me. I was banded on Aug 4, 2011. Best decision I ever made for my health. I will add all here as friends. We bandsters need to stick together.

NSV's are the greatest!! Relish in your success.

Wow!! You look fantastic. You must feel better too.

I packed away a bunch of clothes about 6 months ago that I could not stuff myself into. Today I pulled out a pair of jeans and they are too big......Now I'm going through that box to see what fits and whats too big already!! So much nicer than not fitting because you are too big!

Replace these so called friends with positive, supportive people. Since I started losing I know who to confide in and who not to. There are just some people that can't handle someone else being successful. Good luck and keep your head up. You CAN do this.

Hey Tana, the important thing is you have decided to make this change. Keep in mind that you didn't put the weight on overnight and it is not going to come off overnight. Slow and steady wins the race. We are all human and have our ups and downs. When you falter, don't wait to jump back on the wagon, do it immediately.…

Hi Aims78. I am also about 25% of my way. I have lost 53 pounds since July and want to be at goal of losing 200# by Christmas 2012. It's a lofty goal but I keep giving myself little goals to meet along the way. That way the 200# doesn't seem so huge. I would love to provide and receive support to/from you. Add me as your…

Hello! Glad you're here. I had lap band surgery on 8/4/2011. I have lost 50# as of this week. I had my 3rd fill today and have awesome restriction. I know alot of people say WLS is the easy way out but there has been nothing "easy" about the last 3 months. I have had to make the right decisions when it comes to food,…

Hi, I'm Trish. I had lap band surgery on 8/4/2011 and have lost 50# as of the other day. Currently I am at 330 pounds and would like to be out of the 300's by Valentines day. That's 31 pounds that I have set for my goal. I am 46 years old and have 3 boys, 26, 21 and 19. I decided to do the lap band after years of yo-yo…
