I was probably pushing close to 190-200 when I graduated. 154 now. I'm in the best shape of my life and the lightest weight I can ever remember in probably 20+ years.

I started SL 5x5 about 2 months ago. Great program! I'm really noticing positive changes in my body. My best suggestion, for your squats, use the regular squat rack, not the smith machine. I made that mistake and I feel I really shorted myself. I just started working in the squat rack about 2 weeks ago, had to deload quite…

Yes. I think its two fold however. Some people do treat fat people differently. But I think many over weight people act differently. I know I did. I didn't want to be seen, so I walked with my head down, didn't interact with people I didn't know, didn't make eye contact, didn't smile. Now I have more confidence, I'm proud,…

Usually something hot to drink will help that for me. If I know I'm truly not hungry I usually go for a cup or two of coffee or tea. I tend to eat a lot of little meals through the day, so the only time I ever feel truly hungry are first thing in the morning and at the end of the day after I work out, just before dinner.…

I just started SL 5x5 in March. I really like it for the simplicity. I too have improvised so I don't really require a spotter at this point. I may once my BP gets heavier. I think for my purposes and goals at this point SL is my best option. I also mess around with some other exercises in the weight room just to try…

Yeh, I dislike that "feature" greatly. Got schooled yesterday for having eggs, gasp, whole eggs, for breakfast! I'll worry about my cholesterol that you, don't need my phone chewing me out.

I've been doing SL for just over 2 months. I love its simplicity. Very easy to learn the lifts and follow. Very quick, I'm usually out of the weight room in about 30 minutes. I read NROLFW and while there was some great info as to why to lift, diet, etc., seems a little more complicated than I felt like dealing with as a…

You look amazing! Enjoy your success and know that you are healthy and fit, and fantastic. I think your family has some issues and they are directing it toward you. You were beautiful before, you are still beautiful, no Eww factor at all.

I've had mine since August 2013 and credit it with much of the motivation I need to be successful in meeting my fitness goals. I make sure to push every day to meet my step goals. I don't sit down at night until I've done so. It syncs with MPF and several other partner programs which makes logging your exercise (at least…

What would your mommy do about it?

Stronglifts plus some additional weight training 3 times per week, about 40 minutes each time. Run intervals 2 times at about 45 minutes. Additional cardio/running pretty much every day, generally an hour each time. I figure on average about 1-1.5 hours of exercise per day, every day.

5'3" here. Started out well over 200 lbs. Thought I'd be happy in the 150's but realize no way. I'm aiming for somewhere below 140 and will make adjustments from there. Realistically I don't think I'll be satisfied until I'm around 130-135ish. We shall see.

I drink a lot of coffee, probably 5+ cups most days. I haven't noticed any negative effect on my weight loss. I did make a transition about a year ago and started drinking it black. Took a bit of getting used to. Every once and a while I'll splurge and put a splash of milk in. I couldn't function without my coffee.

Absolutely amazing! You totally rocked this past year!

Ditto on this as well. If you do any non-step activity, log your exact start time and duration (I prefer to do this in MFP). MFP will send the info to fitbit and it will be added to your daily calorie burn. Takes some getting used to, but it works well. That being said, I do log my runs on MFP as I don't think Fitbit keeps…
