  • Me either... Woohoo! Wait... Doesn't that mean that neither of us is special now?
  • If he's right, I'd be curious what the details and data are behind it. SLs is meant to be a beginner program, right? FWIW, Immediately preceding SLs, I didn't do anything else. I did some cardio... and the assisted machines maybe a handful of times. Prior to that, same scenario... but further in the past. I had zero free…
  • I love to see other female Sportbike riders! I have 2011 Ninja 650R... as seen in my profile pic.
  • Oh.... lol... That's hilarious. I kept wondering if your arms and shoulders are bigger or still just toned and what it must look like lifting a 177lb OHP. My mind was just having trouble grappling with 177lb OHP... :-) lol
  • Thank you, tameko, for sticking with me there for a moment. :-) You're right... What made me fat was eating out all the time - and not exercising. I didn't really binge eat often - although, I did at times, I'm sure. I would rarely even walk the dogs with my husband. While I didn't drink much soda, I drank a lot of tea.…
  • I should've searched first.... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/703613-em2wl-and-bodymedia-fit-and-other-calorie-monitors?hl=EM2WL+BMF#posts-10355070 http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/637675-bmf-users-how-are-you-using-your-data-with-em2wl?hl=EM2WL+BMF#posts-9220036
  • That's what made me fat to begin with.... (minus the logging, of course) Please understand... I'm not fighting with you or your advice... I'm just trying to understand. :flowerforyou: I thought I had a reasonable goal with 2032.... But if my TDEE is higher, that's too low... I have to have a number to work towards that…
  • I have a BMF... On days I don't exercise (maybe just walking dogs), I'm around 2300/2400 calories burned. On days with lifting and walking dogs, 2600/2800. Maybe I'm stupid..... But Now I'm just confused.... Figuring out how much to eat to lose BF shouldn't be this difficult or this frustrating... :-( This is precisely why…
  • Thanks for that! Based on the calculations you referenced and those mentioned in the thread, my goal of 2032 seems to be pretty accurate on for a 20% deduction.... Which is reassuring.
  • Tree, all of your numbers are impressive... Your OHP number, however, leaves me speechless.... Just... Wow.
  • Maybe a week long diet break is all I need... or even Sunday's like Dani mentioned. FWIW, I took a "diet break" tonight... I ate what remainded for the day to get me to maintenace.. It was refreshing. So, I'm thinking I'll play how long by ear.. Maybe a day.. Maybe a week.. but with a definite "Do not pass go" spot at 2…
  • I'm starting to burn out on counting calories and SLs. I've been counting calories since February 11th. For the first few days, I was at 1200 calories... because that's what MFP said to do. (Naive, I know - but it was only for a few days). During this time, I thought that was too low... scoured the MFP forums.. and bumped…
  • I think you're overreacting a little. If you were scared, sure - it was a good idea to get out of there. But to assume the truck was faced the direction it was because of you... To assume the truck left because you spotted them... To assume the truck came back and was intentionally turning toward you... all in an attempt…
  • After changing my hold last night, I didn't have any wrist pain after squats... Woohoo. Of course, my biceps/shoulder fought me on the new hold because it forces my arms up higher... But once I got the bar in the right place on my back and played with the width a bit, it got better.
  • I'm toying with the idea as well. I agree that it probably means I need to do pendlays more too... :-) But I can't seem to get them right. I know I'm not using my back muscles because it's my arms that prevent me from correctly finishing the last few reps in my last set or two. I don't think I'm going to completely abandon…
  • Absolutely. You already helped me out with this. (Thank you SOOOO MUCH!!). I think others would love to have that information as well. Your spreadsheet is already so helpful. :-)
  • See... That looks like a lot of fun... Except the jerk part... :-) Question for both of you: Do you do 3x5 or 5x5 or 1x5 for Power Cleans? I know Rippetoe's program is 3x5... I do like the idea of alternating... to get the benefit of both. You said 2x/week PowerCleans and 1x/week Rows. Are you just adding Power Cleans on…
  • Ditto all of this... lol. I don't want to try to fathom the cost though..... I bet he's pricey.
  • Yea... He's pretty informative.. :-)
  • Im doing Pendlay Rows... I just called it the wrong thing. I didn't realize the difference until you said that. So, I googled it. I'm going all the way to and from the floor to my chest with each rep... Like this: http://stronglifts.com/how-to-master-barbell-row-technique/ . At least, that what I'm trying to do. I am…
  • Perfect! Thank you!!
  • Yep... It's form. Based on kirabob's comment regarding the holds, I did a google search - since I don't have SSs. I found this video with Rippetoe regarding the squat - http://vimeo.com/30763907 . GREAT video. I'm wrapping my thumbs around the bar - as opposed to cupping it, so to speak. So, even though my elbows and grip…
  • You already answered this: with this statement:
  • Mud on tires? Sounds perfect... :-) I love four-wheeling... So, when I hear mud, my ears perk up...lol. MH and I live 2 1/2 hours SW of Chicago... and 1 1/2 hours North of Springfield. Although, I long to move to another state. It would be nice to make some new friends from the area... :-)
  • I love how you GAINED weight, but look thinner... Body recomp in full swing. :-) Great job!!
  • Last night seemed to be a successful workout B. Squat: 100lbs OHP: 60lbs Deadlift: 100lbs MH has started going to the gym with me this week. He's not really sure what he wants to do... so, his "routine" is a little random... But, hey, at least he's there. I suggested SLs, but he has no interest in it. He took a video for…
  • I'm having trouble progressing quickly in OHP too. I'm only at 60lbs. And my last rep was hard. I spent two sessions at 55lbs... and now I've spent two sessions at 60lbs. Longer rest times between has helped.... And I can tell when my form wasn't good based on difficulty too. We'll all get there..... It just takes time. :-)
  • Wow... Can definitely see the change. Nice job!! :-)
  • I think someone may be just looking for a reason to be offended with this one....lol. I'm not sure how being referred to as "ladies" is offensive... Now, a man saying "woman!" in a demanding, "come when I tell you to/do what I tell you" way... That's a different story.
