Okay…going to post mine:
I guess, since it’s been a few weeks, I need to do another series, but I haven’t been lifting like I wanted to per stupid doctor’s orders.0 -

THIS is what makes me ridiculously happy! I have never inspired anyone regarding anything fitness related, given I just didn’t really even MOVE until mid-January. :blushing:
This is what I looked like last spring - I’m the one on the left:
So to learn I’ve inspired someone is pretty amazing to me!
I got back on the fitness/calorie tracking train in mid-January. I didn’t pick up my first barbell until February 15, when we brought home the bench/rack. I was half-@$$ed doing the 30DS prior to that.0 -
Hope these aren't huge!
I gained 1.6lbs this past month, but lost 6" overall. Also according to Heybales spreadsheet, my body fat decreased 1.61%. Just further proof scales are stupid.
All y'all looking so good!1 -
OMG Soos, she of the shrinking tooshie! You guys are so inspiring!0

Dang, Soos! You are tightening up all over! You look fantastic!0

Awesome progress Soos!!!!0

I never thought to take "before" photos, so these are where I was this morning. I can see a dramatic change from a few months ago - but still lots of work to do.

I love how you GAINED weight, but look thinner... Body recomp in full swing. :-) Great job!!0 -
Oh gosh, I don't know how I missed visiting this thread, doh!
You all look great!! I'm truly amazed at how much change has happened without losing weight, just incredible.
Sometime in the future I will have photos, too. I did take some photos on January 1 but I am wearing a thong, so I won't be posting THOSE! Then I took some at the beginning of April and in a couple of months I'll have some to compare with them, so Watch This Space! :laugh:0 -
You are all so inspiring! Congrats on your amazing progress! I'm definitely going to swallow my pride and take photos when I start doing Stronglifts 5x5 so I can have a comparison!0

I tried it with the "direct link" option, and the pictures work but they're too big. Can you resize?0
-
Thanks for your help!!! I will try to resize and try again soon. Lord knows why the pictures are giant. Nobody needs to see that!0

OK, Here we go!
I started losing weight on January 1, 2013. In the second week of January I found MFP and it has made ALL the difference for me. I have used the logging to make sure I am eating in a deficit. And in early February, at the suggestion of SideSteel in the Eat Train Progress group I started doing an actual published routine for my workouts.
I've lifted weights for about 15 years. About 9 years ago my life changed and I was really sick, diagnosed with fibromyalgia. The time since then has been spent figuring out what works for my new, fibromyalgia body. In the last 9 years I'd been lifting weights only sporadically. I'd hire a trainer and they would have me do workouts that would leave me completely wiped out and that gave me no results at all. I hated the gym instead of loving it.
When I started Stronglifts, that changed. I feel better now than I have in ages. I am astounded at how much better my knees are. I love the simplicity and the results.
A pic that a friend put up on Facebook that I found devastating at the time:
