(zany - love your phone case!!)
Thanks! To prove how nerdy I am... My outer case is a tape, but I have stickers around my phone turning it into the tardis!! Double nerdsville! :bigsmile:0 -
Ooh so I looked back at my first 5x5 progress photos (second comment in this thread) and I am definitely noticing a difference. Yay! Also noticing that I'm more left-centric than I thought (I'm left handed so it makes sense)... I can't even stand straight! Also, I seem incapable of taking photos in the same outfit. Although I am wearing a sports bra each time so the girls are a bit squished!
front flexed
front flabby
side flexed
side flabby (the one I really notice the difference on!)
back
bicep (is there any change?!)
calf, although I'm so pasty it doesn't really show!

and these are 1lb lighter than the ones at the top of this page.0 -

I really want to start this, but I'm just so nervous about heading into " that" side of the gym on my own. Funny enough I had gotten comfortable doing it when I was lifting light0

Wow, what a difference!!! Great job! :flowerforyou:
Sorry for no comments on this before now, but I just noticed there had been a post on the progress thread! I'm sure it slipped by most of us.0 -
I also just noticed the photos! Great job! Impressive results. I will be taking pictures later this week or early next week. I am already seeing progress and the pictures really help me on the days I am frustrated at how long this is taking me. (And those days come waayy too often)0

Hi all! I'm new to this group and finally have some photos where I can see progress.
I started my journey in May of 2013 at 138 lbs. Basically I just wanted to drop about five lbs. I cut grain and white potatoes from my diet and ended up dropped 10lbs. Though thinner than I'd been in years, I wasn't crazy about my lower body. I felt thick through the middle and my butt needed help. I also had what I called "Q-tip legs". Skinny at the bottom and flaring out to bigger thighs, like Q-tips, lol.
I'm an aerialist by hobby, so my arms and core get plenty of work. The legs not so much. I joined the LIfetime Fitness by my work and started a modified SL program (I skip the arms and back work) in September 2013. I do squats, stiff legged deadlifts, single leg romanian deadlifts, barbell lunges and barbell glute bridges. I usually do 5x3 or 8x3 with consistent weight progression.
Everything has been progressing really well. I lift twice per week. Had a minor set back with an overuse injury back in January, but I'm back on track now. I think I'm finally seeing some visible difference in my thighs. And strangely, my waist looks smaller. Measurements are all about the same, so it's hard to tell there. Though I've gained a few pounds, I guess I'm basically doing a recomp.
Anyway, here they are. September, 2013 ~ 128 lbs.

February 2014 ~ 131 (though the next morning I was 129.5)

Ha! Yeah, it's the best/easiest place to take photos. I've been taking the same shots there for several years now.0 -
