I used the couch to 5k app, which I think was 1.99. I downloaded several different apps, but it has been the best as far as not crashing. I finished the program, but still use the app since you can customize it. I know it uses your phones gps, but it is also the only app that the gps worked on consistently.

I plan on logging, but not worried if I go over. However, I'm planning on a 4 mile run the morning of, so I should have lots of extra calories. I've been sick, and my stomach has shrunk, so why stuff and be miserable?

I have the same problem with my scale. It just depends on how I balance my weight. It's just weird. I'm going to try the one food/re-calibrate method someone above suggested and see if it isn't more consistent. Or just weight once. :wink:

I totally feel ya. I get up early to do my walking/running (depending on the day), but then when I get home from work, I have no drive to go to the gym (for muscle building). I just want to add a personal tip: 6. When sitting around on your butt playing card games or watching the game keep a plate full of different desserts handy so you don't need to get up and walk away from the game in order to pad your butt some more. This ups your chances of being a double winner.

Craving chocolate? Eat it. Go with a dark chocolate version, and less will satisfy your craving faster. Craving salt? Eat a serving of nuts. I dont believe in omitting any foods, but if you're worried about bingeing, just look for healthier alternatives. Or drink more water.
