I have oatmeal every morning with a splash of milk and two teaspoons of light brown sugar. Something just occurred to me, though, as I have some pumpkin puree in the fridge--what if I added some of that to my oatmeal with some pumpkin pie spice? The additional calories would be negligible, and the flavor could be really…

Texas pulled pork sandwiches. Not the lowest calorie food, but I'm only having half of one. :)

Hi--been there. Still there sometimes. I go for oatmeal in the morning (as little processed as possible) b/c the fiber it pretty filling. Have water with it, too. For both morning and afternoon snack I have a Lundgren's Brown Rice Cake with a glass of water. Again, the fiber plus the water = filling. Experiment with…

I've been doing 30 Day Shred, but that's only 20 minutes a day. Between that and staying around 1300 calories, I'm still losing about a pound a week. I'm TOTALLY happy with that :)

I'll be doing Jillian Michaels' Ripped in 30.

Someone recently recommended skinnytaste.com to me. I've seen it mentioned here on MFP as well, too. I'm going to try the carnitas tacos this week :)

I have one more workout on Level 2. I was getting my girls breakfast today after my workout, so I was still in shorts and tank top. My husband walked into the dining room and was really surprised about how defined my arms have gotten. That was pretty cool :) I must admit, I, too, am rather surprised by the arm definition.…

Love it!

Hi! I don't really have any advice, but I wanted to ask you about your Isagenix products. I was drinking one Isalean shake each day for most of the past school year (I teach middle school), and I must say that I wasn't sick one time the whole year! The problem, though, is the cost. I replaced my morning bowl of…

Carrots never did the trick when I was really hungry, so I looked around until I found a more filling low-cal snack. My new favorite is Lundberg's Lightly Salted Brown Rice Cakes. Have one (65 cals.) with a glass of water, and it's TOTALLY satisfying. I have two every day--one for morning snack and one for afternoon snack.…

Hi Katie! Welcome! I'll be happy to give you encourage on this new journey. Feel free to add me as a friend!

Hey, there! Welcome to MFP--I have found it be INCREDIBLY motivating (and a bit addicting!). I've lost 16 lbs. since July 11. Feel free to add me :)

I have to say that the expensive aerobic steps are actually quite awesome if you're into stepping. I also have one of the smaller ones, and it's terrible. Too easy to have your foot go off the side if you're watching the TV screen and not your feet--dangerous! I gave it to my five year old to use when she works out with…

Had to comment on the leg raises in Level 2. Those are EXTREMELY bad for the lower back. I'm frankly quite shocked that a trainer would include those. I keep my legs perpendicular to the floor and simply raise my rear end off the floor like the move from Level 1. Also, the extra cardio may be the culprit in making you feel…

I had the flu the last two days, and I just rested. That meant interrupting my 30 Day Shred, but I was back at it today, and I felt fine. I glad I took the time to let my body heal.

Levi's 529s--the BEST jeans for curvy girls :)

Right there with ya--starting Level 2 on Tuesday and kinda scared based on what I've heard. I thought about previewing it, and I decided I want to go in totally ignorant ;)

Excellent! Changing ingrained behaviors is definitely hard, but the more you consciously override poor choices, the easier it gets!

Finished Level 1 Day 9 this morning. Love how strong I'm feeling! My husband tried it yesterday, and he said, "Well, it wasn't easy." ;) Did my end-of-first-week weigh-in today, and I've lost 1.6 lbs. since my initial weigh-in last Sunday.

Day 5 was SIGNIFICANTLY better.

Just finished Day 5--so, so much easier! My quads are still a little sore during the lunges, but that's it! I've got this!

I teach seventh-grade English and eighth-grade U.S. history, and man did your comment about a "normal" mom ring true! If I had about 48 hours in a day, then maybe I could get it all done.

I'm on Day 4, and I was able to walk without pain today. So if you can stand the extreme soreness for a few days, you'll be okay. :)

You're in the right place! Feel free to add me as a friend.

I just did Day 2! I found that as I got into each move there was a moment of OMG this HURTS, but the pain subsided enough for me to finish the move. I'm hobbling around the house right now, but I thought I would be screaming in pain during the workout itself, and it actually wasn't too bad.

I find that if I already have a dessert in mind (usually a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich) to look forward to, it's much easier to keep the portion sizes under control. Having decaf coffee with dessert also helps fill me up so I can eat less at dinner and know I won't be hungry later.
-
I just started yesterday. I didn't think the first day was too bad, but boy was I sore today! Made Day 2 a lot tougher--but I still felt great afterward!

I move MFP because it showed me how to be in control. I don't have to rely on someone else's packaged system. It's just eat less and move more, but seeing everything added up daily in black and white is just so motivating!
