  • My internet has been down for the past week, so I really haven't been able to log all my food this past week other than what I could pre-plan when I had time at work to sneak to mfp. I guess this was kinda like a test going back to reality without the help of MFP. I think I did pretty good, maintained my weight this…
  • Walking is great, went for one last night - the kids hopped on their bikes and I grabbed the dog and we were gone for like an hour and a half!! You tend to walk quickly when the kids are flying ahead of you on their bikes! haha
  • Her workout is tough, but after a couple of weeks on level 1, level 2 will be a breeze as long as you do it frequently. I was doing it on the nights i didn't go to the gym, so like 3 times a week maybe. I could hardly walk for a week after I did her workout for the first time, but not to worry, you don't feel like that…
  • I know Cookies'NCream is pretty good - not sure why I decided on the orange!?!!?
  • Good to know! MFP has me at 70g (with exercise) and I took in 90g. The Isoflex is about 25g of added protein. Does anyone know what the average daily intake is for a woman?
  • So, I went out this weekend and bought a protein powder to drink after workouts, etc. I specifically told the guy that I was looking for something that I could mix with water only (something that would taste fruity, kind of like juice or something) rather than the typical chocolate or vanilla ones that you would use milk…
  • So to date I have lost 23 lbs over a period of 25 weeks...to reach my goal I have 17 more pounds to go and only 17 weeks to get there!! It seems possible....but we all know that those last 10 lbs are the hardest to get rid of! If anyone has any quick/simple breakfast ideas would be helpful, I eat the same breakfast Mon-Fri…
  • IT MOVED!!! The scale actually moved this morning....I woke up feeling a little different and low a behold I'm down another pound. I know it's not much, but it's one pound closer to my goal. Thanks for the support everyone!! Not sure what I did differently, maybe i've just gotten over my plateau?!?!

  • Maybe that's what I need to do, go buy a protein powder to add a little more to my day. I'm usually always over my Protein & Fibre everyday....but maybe a little more wouldn't hurt. I was also looking into some all natural supplements, not sure if anyone has used them or heard of them?? LEAN+ & ABS+?? I've looked them up…

  • So my CW is 149, SW was 170.....my GW is 130 and I would REALLY like to reach this by July 2009 in time for bathing suit season! I have not budged since Feb 5th and I know that the last few pounds are harder to get rid of than the first few. My main problem area is my midsection from having 2 kids, my abs feel rock hard…

  • I agree with this, I don't have power sculpt, but the other 2 are great...just finished a 30 day shred workout! It's great for those days you can't get out to the gym, or if you don't go to gym, it's great just to do.....doesn't take up much time and you definately feel like you've done a workout afterwards. As…
  • My grocery store sells them 5 for $7.50, it's ridiculous!!:noway:
  • TMT was the first DVD workout video I bought when I started my weight loss journey 6 months ago, it's a pretty good beginner work out - I did the same thing as RachVR6 and just logged it as general aerobics. I wouldn't suggest following the meal plan though as it is only allowing you about 1000 cals per day. Still eat…
  • The ice cream sandwiches ROCK but are so darn expensive!!! Everytime I do groceries I look to see if they are sale...haha
  • Just tried with milk last night (1/2 & 1/2) cause I ran out of soy milk....tastes good with milk too! FC - how do you bump something....what does that do? I hear it all the time but have no clue what it does? lol
  • I think sometimes we just need that carelessness!! Good luck to everyone else who is gettin back on the wagon today!
  • Hey all......I feel like I need to confess...haha....I had a horrible binge weekend, this is not like me but I think I have been so stressed out and frustrated with so many other things lately I just needed this "care free" weekend. I made homemade chocolate chip cookies and then my sister brought over a bag full of baked…
  • I'm sure you could, never tried it with milk....I think the soy milk is a bit thicker, but once you mix the fruit you don't even taste the soy milk (I'm not a fan of soy milk myself....but love this smoothie).
  • 1 1/2 cups of vanilla soy milk 2 cups of frozen whole strawberries (no sugar added) 1/3 cup of calcium enriched orange juice 1 medium size banana Add all ingredients into the blender and liquify until smooth enough to drink. Pour into cup and ENJOY!!! I figured that a tall glass of this (about 1/2 the ingredients…
  • You are better off to eat 5-6 smaller meals (3 main, 2 snacks). What I usually do is have my breakfast, than about 2 hrs later have a small snack, than I eat lunch and again about 2 hrs later I have a snack and than dinner and if i've done my work out after work I usually have a good healthy snack in the evening (a little…
  • Expect great things from MFP!! As long as you stick with it every day and be honest with what you have eaten/drank throughout the day you will see results. It may seem like a long stretch at times, but well worth it! Welcome and best of luck!!!
  • Thanks everyone!!!! Same to you too...all of you keep up the good work and take it one day at a time!!
  • I like the 30 day shred, the first week or so will be killer for you.....but if you keep up with it, it will get easier. I just moved on to level 2 actually. I haven't been doing it back to back, I usually do it on the days I don't go to the gym. Strength training is key in weight loss though, not sure if you are a member…
  • I religiously log my daily food EVERY single day. I exercise 3-5 times a week, do a lot of strength training classes such as The Firm & Pilates and do home videos such as 30 Day Shred & Biggest Loser Cardiomax. It's been a slow process (5 months so far), but well worth it. I still eat most of the same things I always did…
  • I was starting to think I was never going to get past 153, today I weighed in at 150 and am officially half way to my summertime goal!!!!! I feel great, my body is changing in appearance and strength and clothes are fitting me differently! Can't wait to lose the next 20 lbs!! Hoooooraaaay!!!!
  • You are totally right about your body getting used to it and you do have to switch it up every now and again. Once those muscles get stronger it won't hurt as much and when it stops hurting completey it's time to turn it up a notch. You don't want to do just cardio, lean muscle burns fat - so keep up with the strength…
  • Hey again....maybe your body just needs a rest! Especially after doing some strength training, cause I do believe you never really did strength before right? Your muscles are probably exhausted (the ones you don't normally work all the time). 45 mins counts is better than 0 mins, some days are better than others! Don't…
  • a million bucks for sure, heaven is overated...LOL
  • Go to: http://www.haqur.com/script/SmokeFree/
  • totally agree on the "developing a new lifestyle", cause that is EXACTLY what you are doing. My computer crashed for about 4 days - but because i am so careful as to what i put in my body now it was so easy to figure things out. It will make it that much easier once you've reached your goal to maintain that weight cause…
