  • I do 30DS everyday - well try to. But if you already have a fitness program it should be fine to just do it on the days you can. It will still help you with a little bit of strength training to complement your cardio. It wont hurt but you may not see the results as fast. Just do what you can - its always good to mix it up!!
  • Heya. I plan on doing L1D5 and L1D6 today as I missed yesterday. I would love to join!!! Hopefully I can go all the way to 30 days without another break!
  • I think it may be double the soreness =D I plan on doing it today twice in a row as I missed yesterday. But in regards to doing it in the am and then again in the pm, I might hold back on that and build yourself up to it. I only say this as you should give yourself adequate time during workouts to let you muscles rest -…
  • Uh oh! I missed yesterday and on top of that I was a bad girl with my food :embarassed: In about 20 mins time I plan on warming up on the elliptical then doind L1D5 and L1D6 back to back. Its not going to be pleasant but I will see how I go. I need a kick up he backside every now and then so it should be good.
  • L1D4 done! I was so sore when I woke up this morning but my goal it to do 30DS for 30 days in a row. So I pushed through it... boy did I push lol. I worked up the biggest smeat ever, even the pushups in circuit one made me sweat so much that my knees slipped on my mat - belly flop style - JM will really kill you lol. Right…
  • L1D3 done!! It is very weird... did 30 mins on the elliptical this morning and the soreness went away. I felt so pumped so I decided to do Yoga Meltdown followed by shred all in one shebang! I still had a bit of trouble doing some of the exercises - bicycle crunches and art...? something ? lunges.... i hate you!!! About an…
  • L1D2 Done!!! This time I was actually better, apart from a few 5-10 seconds stops to make sure I have the right technique, but I felt great afterwards. This is so challenging but today I could do more modified push ups and pushed through the pain. Maybe my mindset has finally shifted from 'OMG, OMG, OMG" to "I can do…
  • WHOA!! Yesterday was L1D1 for me and I only felt like I got a good workout, no soreness.... until this morning (aussie time). I was not expecting this, just getting out of bed I felt my entire tummy muscles burning, when I lift my arms over my head I quickly flashback to those arterial (? I think thats what they are…
  • I just did L1D1 of Shred, and although some movements were high impact on the knees, mine faired very well, no pain, no creaking etc. It literally took me 2 hours of just watching the proper technique. When ever I jumped, I took it easy (not as high etc) and I also had my knees slightly bent to absorb the shock a little…
  • Hahaha... I thought I only did that, its good to know I am not alone :) I to have it all planned out to cater for any exercise plans (ie 30 Day Shred) then making sure I get in some good cardio, yoga and to see the 'big picture' which allows me to shake things up in a control freak kind of way. Truth is if I leave it to…
  • I am in :) I also have over 100lbs to lose and have just startef exercising this week, so this will work in great and give me enough time to get into my groove with things!!!
  • Just finished L1D1 today! Although I am a bit worried. Before I did it I slogged it on the Cross Trainer and burnt 300 cal, I may have overdone it as when I got to shred circuit 2 I almost was sick :/ I kept going as much as I could and felt a good burn. However now (a few hours later I am not feeling the soreness that I…
  • I just got a brilliant idea tolook up physiotherapy exercising and found a page dedicated to strengthening the knee (by working the quads as mentioned above). i thought you may be interested in, you can find it here: http://www.physioadvisor.com.au/8119350/knee-strengthening-exercises-knee-rehabilitation.htm I will be…
  • I have been wondering the exact same thing, and to also add another question - is it better to workout as soon as you get up or in the afternoon? I have heard conflicting stories, any clarification would be great.
  • Thanks for all of the responses! I am going to flog it! I will see what shred + extra cardio does, then work up to c25k after I have strengthened my knees. A shotty knee is no good for anything! Thanks again..... I love MFP!

  • WOW! Congratulations. Your look fantastic. I have just started out today and I am currently 270lbs, you are proof that I can achieve my goal. You are an inspiration and I have no doubt you will hit that 150lbs mark!!!
