Just over 6 ft here. Glad to see someone else comment that it requires more weight loss to drop sizes, etc.

Thank you for the feedback. I love the rice paper and cucumber/melon ideas!

Sure. You should be able to google FAFSA and get the page. You enter some basic tax information (total earned last year, etc) and they will give you a printout that explains the kind of financial help you can get from the government. This should get you started. http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

The nice thing about college is that you do not need a car. You can pull together tax returns and file your FAFSA so you can get student aid (loans, grants, etc.) and check out schools online. It will give you something to plan towards as you are waiting/enduring the summer (or just the next month). Once you are accepted,…

I modify a lot. For example, I do steps in place when they spin. I am careful about jumping and lunges. I was not in shape when I started - and I still am not in shape. I had a long way to go and I am only partway there. One thing that may help you learn to adjust is to find a Zumba Gold class and get there just a couple…

I agree on the idea of giving what you are doing a little more time. I have been doing this for just a couple of months and noticed a frustrating pattern. My body appears to hold onto my weight all month long and then drop a couple pounds within a couple days right after I start my period. Then I stay put for another 3…

Would love to add you. I have been heavy all my life, too. Holding out hope for what I previously deemed impossible. :-)

Wear sleeveless shirts and go to the beach more often.

I don't do this well, either. I lost some weight last year just by adding activity. Honestly, I keep myself under such control that food was the only place I felt free and I am still not willing to give that up. I now stay within my allotted calories, but on most days 100 of those calories are on a skinny cow ice cream…

Ha! I just realized that the replies all go to the end of the chain, not right after the comment made. :-) To those who suggested breathing through my nose. I know I am supposed to, but it doesn't work well. Could be the deviated septum, or the fact that I am allergic to everything they've ever tested me for. :-P Whatever…

Thanks. I was diagnosed asthmatic when I was 9, but as an adult my peak flows are so high they were doubtful of the original dx. Maybe it is exercise induced the way you described. Thanks.

I will have to try this!

Kind of. I am approaching 38 and childless. :-) Feel free to add me, if you wish.

Ideally, I need to lose 100lbs or more, although at the moment 50 lbs seems like a lifetime away. Please feel free to add me. I only have one friend on here. :-P
