It's what you do next that makes the difference. What has just been cannot be changed! You've had plenty of great days so this one day can be treated as a reminder of the you that you no longer wish to be. That's how I look at days like that anyway. Moving forward is the only option.

I live in the city and grow all my fruit & veg in pots, troughs and containers etc. I've got berries, a dwarf apple tree, guava, lemon & kaffir lime and for veges (we're in autumn here in New Zealand) I grow beetroot, spinach, heaps of lettuce, leeks, spring onions, broad beans, peas, mustard, lots of herbs, microgreens…

I get up early so find six meals works for me. 5am - breakfast 8:30am - snack 11.30am - lunch 2pm - pre-workout snack followed by a protein shake afterwards 6pm - dinner 8pm - snack

Definitely a great big pile of vegetables!

The backs of my legs. They're slowly getting better with all my training but I'm sooooo paranoid about them. Pretty happy with the rest of me though so that's a plus!

Welcome! I think being alone can be a really good thing for weight loss. You can be as selfish as you need to be to get to your goal. without being derailed or sidetracked by anyone else. That's exactly what I did. I put my head down and just went for it. Worked for me!! All the very best. It's totally possible!

You've come to the right place! I've lost 84lb and turned my life around completely from where it was heading. MFP is a part of my life now and I'm here every single day and never get tired of logging. I'm no longer trying to lose weight but am more than happy to support anybody that needs it. All the best. You can do…

I'll add you...no, hang on... we're already friends! Deb is one amazing woman who you definitely want to be friends with  She's awesome

Over time it will reduce. My back fat used to make me so ashamed and paranoid to wear anything even remotely tight but guess what... now it's completely gone and has even been replaced with a good amount of muscle. Keep working hard and you'll get there!! All the best :flowerforyou:

I've never had that problem!! Must have been one hell of a breakfast

Dirty Dancing & Top Gun Those two still get gasps from friends when I say I haven't seen them Oh and one more... haven't seen The Lion King either
-
^^ THIS ONE. It drives me nuts!
-
I have my feet firmly in both camps. Double the trouble!
-
That's really great! It must be a huge relief to you that he's decided for himself that he wants to look and feel as great as you do. You've led by example and that's something that people really notice - even if they pretend not to!! CONGRATS TO YOU BOTH!!
-
You are beautiful and amazing and by golly do you work hard! I didn't know your full story before and it blows me away to read it now. What an absolute honour it is for me to have shared the last few months of this ride with you. Wow. There really is no stopping you. Thanks for all the awesome links too. xx

That's truly an amazing attitude. You will do well! As hard as that would have been to hear, I kind of wish somebody had said something like that to me. It might have got me moving a lot earlier than I did to start getting back in shape.

Going to spin tomorrow morning. I don't do it very often at all (I hate stationary biking at the best of times) and it is very intense but because you're in a class you tend to push yourself pretty hard. That's the part that I like! Last time I went I still had a pink face an hour later!!!
-
I train straight after work too. An hour before I leave I usually have an apple or banana with a protein shake and a few nuts for a blast of energy without the bulk.
-
Open diary here too, I don't care who sees it!!

I've had such a busy week at work but it hasn't stopped me achieving what I wanted to. My exercise has been bang on - got completely hammered by my PT last night to the point where I thought I was going to be sick (it's been a year now since I started training with him and he just pushes me harder and harder every time).…

I don't use MFP for tracking my exercise at all. My calories are set to my TDEE -15% and I just eat to that number and ignore how many cals I've burned. I do use an HRM though so log my exercise via the PolarTrainer website.
-
So true! I've pretty much eliminated 'diet' foods from my diary now, preferring to eat slightly less of the real stuff. Portion control remains an issue though, so there's some foods I still can't be trusted to have in the house! I remain... a work in progress
-
I felt that way when I began. I don't any more!! You've come to the right place
-
Welcome back - great that you've returned. I'm a bit of a fitness freak and pretty much live at the gym!
-
My goal is to keep my food super tight this week and keep my water intake up. Workout plan: Monday - Gym: Weights Legs + cardio (done) Tuesday - Gym: Cardio Wednesday - walk (if the weather behaves) Thursday - PT session: Full body weight session Friday - Gym: Cardio Saturday - Run in the morning + Gym in the afternoon…

What a stunning transformation! Congratulations and well done on all that hard work and dedication.

I'm the same height as you and I definitely have a large frame... and bigger hands than most of the guys I know!!! Started out at 246lb (112kg) and am now 162lb (74kg). Sorry for the small pic but it's the only one I have at the moment
-
Congrats! Now do it again tomorrow... and repeat until you get where you want to be. You can do it
-
I find if I eat before my workouts I can achieve so much more and go harder than trying to do it on an empty stomach so in that sense I am able to burn more calories because the food has given me the energy to really push myself. Even if it's just half a banana before a run... it all helps. I definitely have to eat before…

Wow. I can't even imagine trying to keep up with 200 people!! I have 17 friends on here and I support each and every one of them - even that can be a big job if everyone's having a good day. After removing all the 'friend collectors' I've ended up with a nice bunch of people who truly care! I've even met six of them in…
