Holy moley these look AMAZING!! I need these in my life.

I really liked oopsie rolls and will definitly be making them again. I've heard of people putting seeds on top to give them an everything bagel type of taste. Just look up everything bagel recipes and add the spices and seeds as needed.

Oh and if you have access to whole foods they have AWESOME parsnip chips that I highly recommend!

Pre-wash some lettuce leaves, big thick romaine leaves and keep them whole. Store them in a zip lock bag with some paper towel. Make a chicken salad mix (chicken breast, mayo, salt/pepper, a little relish and celery) and store it in an air tight container in your cooler. Pack some sugar free jello snacks, pickles, almonds,…

Not all fats are equal. Some fatty foods like salmon, mackerel (holy vitamin D batman), marbled rib eye or avocados also provide a boost in Vitamin A, C or D, fiber, potassium and other minerals. You'll feel better eating one type of fatty food vs eating straight out of a coconut oil jar ;) Too much fat from dairy products…

Lots of good advice here already so I'll just add to the list: Red Robin - Lettuce wrapped burger of your choice, broccoli as a side (I think it's unlimited broccoli, just like the fries are unlimited) Jimmy Johns - Unwich, any sub you want lettuce wrapped. You can double the meat or cheese. The gargantuan is my favorite…

Don't feel guilty, just log it and pick things up the next day. We all face tough situations and stumble, heck that's the reason I've been slowly losing rather than dropping weight quick like some others, but as long as the trend is downward I'm ok with that. Bunless burgers, chicken legs/wings, beef jerky, veggies and…

I log most of my meals every day, even if I'm going over my calories or over my carbs. That way I know what I can have the next day and what I should do for the rest of the week. If I have a big mac and a large fries for dinner on some splurge day then I log it and know I gotta keep it clean the rest of the week and have…

Are you eating ANYTHING sweet before these meals? IE water flavorings, sugar free food sweetened with splenda/aspertame, or fruit? Fruit especially for me spikes my sugar cravings and makes me way more hungry than if I hadn't eaten it at all. The keto/low carb pyramid says they are ok in moderation, which is true, but for…

@NonnaTurtle That's great, I also love Keto! A nice big juicy steak with salad or bacon and egg breakfasts, love it. I am a daily weigher too, I don't think I'd ever stop because I like that it tells me when my TOM is about to hit, lol. I know if I shoot up 4 or 5lbs to watch out. I'm surprised, because at those ages I was the most interested in losing weight and didn't know how to (other than being told "eat less").

I've heard that the olive oil from Italy is far better than the oil sold here, but I can't afford to travel to Italy to confirm, lol. I've heard they even blend olive oil together with vegetable oil to increase their profits here. Italy it's 100% olive oil. The only thing I've been told was to look for olive oil sold in…

Julia is the best! I haven't tried her recipes because I assumed they'd be all high carb, but now I want to :)

Agreed! This is a great bunch of people.

If you're not researching the ingredient then how can you know what's ok for you to eat and what's not? If you chose a water flavoring that had Malitol in it as it's sweetener rather than Splenda, do you know what that does to most peoples bodies? Point is, the more you know, the better your awareness will be when choosing…

I'm only starting this thread and my only thoughts are, what the hell is an angry poutine?? What does that taste like? Do you just yell at the gravy while you cook it? #canadianthoughts

Keep in mind almond flour can go bad/stale too so 4lbs of flour seems a bit excessive to buy all at once. If you do buy a lot of it make sure to get really good storage containers for it, those air tight kinds. Link 2

If you are in the US, Amazon has 1lb bags of it, there's one that's highly rated and it isn't Bobs Red Mill. I haven't tried it myself but would get it there if I planned on doing lots of baking. Edit: Link

Yup the mall was a pretty popular spot on Saturday and a local cemetery was popular too, loads of people walking around in circles. Each of the memorial pieces had a Pokemon Stop and someone had set up a lure right in the middle of the area by a big fountain.
-
Yeah sometimes mine crashed once in awhile. Their servers have been overloaded because it's become really popular. I had better luck signing up with "Google play" than creating an account manually for some reason.
-
You can set up things to attract more Pokemon to your spot on the beach, I seen many people doing that. You can use incense or those lure things. Get your tan on :)

I LOVE this game! We went out as a family walking and driving around different areas, catching Pokemon and looking for Pokemon Stops. My daughter loved it cause she got a long stroller ride, stopped at her favorite park and I loved it because I got so many extra steps in than I normally would have for a Saturday! Bonus…

I weigh daily every morning and I love it. My TOM has always been ALL over the place, so weighing every day gives me advanced notice when it's about to show up. I know if I wake up and gain 3 - 5lbs it's either starting that day or very soon, and of course after it's over the 5lbs disappears. Other than that it's a nice…

Omg goat, hahahaha. I have never run into this problem! If my stuff comes with a side I usually give my toddler the side as her meal and I'll eat the eggs or steak or what have you. If I can get soup as a side that's even better cause she loves soup. It works out great.

OH reference books - Gary Taubes why we get fat and Keto Clarity are good reads for information. Grab a low carb cook book or two if you prefer a hard cover book over a website. I have Keto in 28 days which has lots of pictures and great starter recipes. People have also recommended the ketogenic cook book, ketogenic…

Personal recommendations for fats? Olive oil, coconut oil and butter to cook with will help you meet your macros. Dark chocolate (85-90%) is an excellent fat snack as well as almonds, walnuts or pine nuts. Avocados! All sorts of cheeses, full fat sour cream, heavy whipping cream.. I could go on and on :)

I don't know how it impacts your metabolism actually, I haven't thought about that portion much. I do see my cravings change when I go low carb vs higher carb. Higher carb my brain says "more sweets, more bread!!" And a little while later - "I'm still hungry!", and LC it doesn't give a crap. IIRC carbs, glucose, sweets all…

Glad to hear upping cheese helped! This kind of discussion is important cause you never know who else might be feeling the same way and is too afraid to ask. Also, anyone who gets "offended" by these types of posts clearly doesn't have kids. Nothing phases me anymore.. and I think that goes for all moms. We've been through…

I have heard lemon and birthday cake are the best flavors, but haven't found Halo Top yet. I've tried Arctic Zero and it's like eating a tub of chocolate flavored freezer burn. I've had Breyers carb smart ice cream and those have been heavenly, I have some almost every night now lol :)
