  • If you're constipated I heard a certain brand of gummy bears will do the trick. Lol
  • WOW thank you, it looks delish!
  • Heavy whipping cream usually has less than 1g of carbs. Beware that heavy cream can be misinterpreted as "heavy on the 1/2 and 1/2" in coffee shops.. hard lesson learned for me.
  • For low carb diets remember that you're not just restricting carbs, you're also restricting sweets and sugar. You're going to have to read labels. Breakfast: Scrambled eggs (2) with 1 tsp heavy whipping cream mixed in (instead of 2% milk) and 2-3 slices of bacon. Black coffee with heavy whipping cream and splenda if you…
  • Can you share some recipes? :)
  • I am going to start slow as others suggested @GsKiki, thanks :) I'll start brisk walking then slowly transition to running once I have proper sneakers and am not out of breath from walking anymore.
  • I know it's not perfect but I use cauliflower rice instead of basmati. I make butter chicken and replace the rice with cauliflower instead and use a small amount of heavy whipping cream instead of yogurt for thickener. That way I get a protein, fats and a veggie all in one meal. Try one small change at a time :)
  • I do so that when I ask "hey what am I doing wrong" the internet trolls will keep me in check. Lol
  • Good for you OP.. that was dangerous advice.. Anyone that is diabetic or pre-diabetic knows to limit their carbs and sugars, it's not enough to exercise and be a healthy weight.
  • @Aed0416 it may be a part of her personality but I wanted to make sure there wasn't much validity in what she says before brushing it off. I get quite a few personal attacks from her behind my back but that's a whole other story. I am trying to look past what she says and see what works for everyone else before dismissing…
  • Me too. I miss having oranges! Sometimes I will sneak a segment or two when I'm peeling one for my daughter. A handful of blueberries or blackberries is ok if you can fit it in your macros! Cauliflower is low carb and actually has more vitamin C than oranges.
  • I use and log olive oil. Eating fats like that helps keep you full so yes, 1-2 tbsps seems like a lot but then you might eat less junk throughout the day. Usually its tossed to coat veggies and I split up those veggies over a couple meals so it's ok.
  • My favorite snacks are 90% lindt chocolate and almonds. Are you eating enough protein and fats though? If you're constantly hungry you may want to up one of those.
  • If you want to know your heart rate then you'll need the charge HR, the surge or their new one coming out. The others don't track heart rate. I have the charge (no HR) and it keeps track of sleep, steps, stairs, and has caller ID.
  • This is so embarrassing. All my weight is in my stomach and I look (looked?) pregnant. At my highest weight I told my husband, I can't go on that roller coaster, I won't fit. He insisted that rides are made to accommodate larger people and so I tried, and everyone on the roller coaster waited as I attempted to push the bar…
  • I'll look into the couch to 25k plan and I'll definitely take things slow. Thanks!
  • That's why I'm here :) I'm interested and want to learn more from actual runners. Thanks everyone for your input!
  • Thank you!
  • deleted - didn't work
  • I had a keto friendly meal and not so keto friendly dessert. I wanted cheesecake, lol. Does anyone know how to post pics on the mfp app? Id share if I could.
  • I struggled with cauliflower pizza for forEVER and finally got it to work for me. I used: * 1 cauliflower head * 1 large egg * 1-2 tbsp of almond flour (just enough so that the mixture holds together and isn't soupy) * Olive oil (for the pan, not the dough) * Spices (oregano, salt, pepper, whatever you want) I 1/2ed the…
  • There's a LCHF group on here if you want to join :) I find instagram and Reddit both very helpful for recipes too, just search for #keto or #ketodiet on IG and I think on reddit it's called /r/ketorecipes.
  • Keep us updated on your progress. I have rosacea as well but am one of the lucky ones (I guess) that don't have blisters. I just turn BEET red lol. Winter months are tough on my skin so I have to drink lots of water and lather on lotion. I've been using gold bond, some sort of ultra strength lotion and put it on before bed…
  • Oh man my favorite day used to be after easter when all the whopper robin eggs would go on sale. I'd buy huge bags of those plus peanut M&Ms and would sit at my desk eating them for days... Ugghhh I cringe just thinking about it now, lol.
  • I've never heard of keto rash, odd.
  • Wow I'd be starving. 30 points for a whole day? Is there a protein she can eat that's less points, like a grilled chicken breast or something? :/
  • Non scale victory - things you've noticed about yourself that aren't related to the number on the scale :)

  • I love these threads :) My NSVs so far are:* Less hunger * Less cravings * I can walk more without being winded * No longer winded going upstairs * I am down at least 2 pants sizes, probably more but can't tell since I was wearing stretchy pants * I can wear an XL shirt from the "regular" section at Macys * I looked at a…

  • The reason I ask is my daughter has the same thing, bumps all on her upper arms like I did, so I am concerned for her as well. Maybe I will take just her in then and see.
  • I was just about to post something similar! I have what I know as "chicken skin" on my upper arms. Little bumps just EVERYWHERE just below my shoulders but above my elbows. On Instagram someone mentioned that following keto their arm bumps all went away. I looked at my arms and realized mine are gone too :O I didn't even…
