  • Pineapple, Orange juice, carrot, spinach, works better if the pineapple is frozen but fresh works just as well :D

  • The main one I know of is that it's high in anti-oxidants. I drink a cup in the morning, but that's it, can't say i've noticed any effects from it but maybe i'm not drinking enough.
  • The day my son was born, proud father in my pic :)
  • I go by the idea that it's fresh fruit, therefore, good for you in moderation, too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing. I have one every day without fail, for breakfast, great source of energy.
  • I left MFP and came back again, feel free to add me :D
  • This isn't completely accurate, according to what i've picked up from using MFP. You need to work out your TDEE. Eating at your TDEE will maintain weight. Eating above your TDEE will gain weight. Eating at your BMR will lose weight. Eating below your BMR will lose weight, but this will be from muscle. I eat between my TDEE…
  • I log food everyday, and exercise when I go to the gym, so feel free to add me :)
  • Whenever somebody mentions Jeff Goldblum I think of Pineapple Express and James Francos excellently delivered line of "F**k Jeff Goldblum!" Guy was awesome in the Fly.
  • I'm not a big fan of zombie films, but Shaun of the Dead is awesome.

  • This is incredible. I cannot say anything more than that. Wow.
  • Feel free to add me too :)
  • I multiplied your BMR by 1.2, as I did with my own, I believe the way to calculate TDEE is BMR * one of these: -Sedentary................BMR x 1.2 -Lightly active...........BMR x 1.375 -Moderately active.....BMR x 1.55 -Very active.............BMR x 1.725 -Extremely active......BMR x 1.9

  • Different people say different things, you should eat at least 1636 calories a day, with a sedentary lifestyle your TDEE is 1963, so having a net intake of between 1636 and 1963 will enable you to lose weight, at what pace, I can't say. I eat between my BMR and my TDEE, and i'm losing quite steadily, but i'm sure it varies…

  • I have looked at your diary, and whilst i'm by no means an expert it does look like your carbs/protein/fat ratios could be redone, with the amount you're working out I wouldn't have thought you get enough protein. Have you edited the suggestions that MFP gives you or do you just use the suggestion as they were? I have…
  • Wholewheat part baked baguette filled with chicken and salad. Simple and effective.
  • I don't aim for a particular deficit per day, or even per week, I just set myself a goal of 2000 net and see what happens. Some days the deficit would only be 250 (non gym, 2000 calorie days), some days much higher, depending on the amount of calories that I burn at gym. I don't eat back all of my exercise calories either,…

  • 3,500 calories a week deficit, some days it's more than 500, some days less, but the end result seems to be going the same (so far anyway)

  • You'll hear different things from different people on here, but for me personally I worked out my BMR and my TDEE (1850, and 2250) respectively, and I eat somewhere in the middle, 2000 calories net, this has enabled me to lose weight at a rate of 1 pound a week since I started doing it. I will eat more than 2000 calories…

  • I'm generally quite upfront about what I like and what I don't, without being rude. My mum knows I prefer my vegetables al dente so she takes mine out before she carries on cooking those for her and dad, which is when any additional stuff would be added in.
  • First of all, welcome! Congrats on the weight loss so far, great job and long may it continue! :) I'm also from the UK, feel free to add me.
  • Yeah eating below your BMR is bad, your BMR is what you body needs to function properly. Your calorie intake figure of 1350 is net, i.e. Intake - Exercise. You need to eat at least your BMR, and work off the deficit to get down to 1350.

  • Banana dipped in melted dark chocolate and then frozen. OM NOM NOM.
  • When I find it's past 8pm, and I have an excess of calories to fill, I will have a protein shake with 2, maybe 3 scoops of powder, it's low carb, low fat, and about 450-600 calories depending on the powder you use, it's also protein so will fill you up and help your body recover from the exercise whilst you're asleep.
  • I cook 90g wholewheat pasta in the morning, mix it with tomato and basil sauce and a tin of tuna, and take that to work and eat it cold. It's about 450 calories and very filling, whilst being a good source of complex carbs and protein, with little fat.
  • You have done absolutely brilliantly! Keep it up you look great :D
  • I haven't been to a class, but I have got a DVD of Yoga for Regular Guys, seems to do the trick, helped me with my flexibility a ton.
  • I do roughly the same amount of exercise as you, weights and HIIT cardio, and I also eat 2000 calories, but i'm 5'11 and 190, so maybe you're eating a little too much?
