  • I often have a square of Lindt 90% dark chocolate as I love dark chocolate.
  • Tesco banned Ribena a few months back due to the high sugar content and that had a bit of a backlash. Is it still banned? Didn't seem right they kept cola etc. on the shelves.
  • Jamie Oliver is on the sugar bashing bandwagon. He's lost a load of weight and the media has leached onto the fact he was eating seaweed and that was the main reason (he was burnt out surviving on 3hrs sleep, I think sorting out his lifestyle was the main reason his eating habits improved). He's got a new cookbook out with…
  • I always got 0% Fage as that was all I could get in my usual supermarket. I inadvertently got the normal full fat version in another supermarket and it tastes so good I find it hard to go back to 0%. Never seen the 2%.
  • It's my high. I'm currently stuck in the city on business and I haven't even been able to manage 1000 steps yet let alone 10,000 and I'm itching for exercise that I won't be getting until late this evening when I get home.
  • Bigger portion sizes. That caught me out when I was in the states as asked for a large coffee and regretted the monster I received. I was wired for the whole trip!
  • You don't paint him in a very good light. It sounds like he's making you mother him if you're happy to do the chores and let him sit and play video games. Does he support you in any other way? My husband is supportive of me getting healthy but he has good genes and is naturally slim and he'll happily eat what I eat but I…
  • I'm pretty much doing this on my own but that's my preference as it means I can focus on me. Otherwise it's easy to get roped into a exercise session with a group of friends when I'd rather go on a run or lift some weights. I cook so husband gets the nutritional benefits of my meticulous meal planning.
  • Almost never. I meal plan before I shop for food so I rarely get any excess. Only things that really get thrown in the freezer before it goes off is the odd quarter of a loaf of bread and the odd banana.

  • Sometimes it's best to start small and work forward to bigger changes. Have a daily small step to accomplish and keep on going. It could be to go on a walk or drink lots of water or get lots of veggies in. It's the small changes you build on that creates habits and gives you a sense of accomplishment. You do have to walk…
  • I get excited about all food all the time. I have just purchased a spirilizer and yes, I'm excited about my salad for lunch tomorrow.
  • Not a fan of protein powders but I recently discovered pancakes made with cottage cheese, eggs and oats and they taste amazing.
  • We all develop habits. The comfort of feeling full may have originally stemmed from something years ago, even from childhood, and you now have to try and create new habits. For me when PMT kicks in it's into the gym and attack the punchbag rather than attack the biscuit tin. It's hard work but if you keep doing things more…
  • I love wine but I can only drink a glass and a half anymore (I'm 32) and I have terrible sleep rather than a hangover. I'll only really have it on rare or special occasions if I fancy it as i'd rather have the calories that aren't empty. I've also stopped drinking alcohol when I'm stressed.
  • As Moyer said, you need to deal with the root of the problems that are causing you to reach out for food. Inside your head there is a template that states you need to comfort eat and well done for acknowledging it. You need to start with changing your habits and change this template. Instead of eating, call a friend, do…
  • Oh I have never done cosplay but would love to. I dressed up as Lara Croft for Halloween once when I was slimmer. I would like to do that again with less fat and more muscle in my thighs.
  • Depends on you but I find daily is a good way to see how much your weigh fluctuates with sodium levels, exercise, hormones etc. however some people find that really off putting to see a 1lb loss one day and a 3lb again the next. I recommend measuring too as it's another good indicator of loss if the scales aren't budging…
  • I love my homemade pizza dough too much to forgo it. Saying that I did just try out cauliflower 'rice' which worked well with my curry.
  • I'm UK and visit the USA on occasion for work so typically I'm only eating meals out for the majority but I was amazed at the portion sizes.
  • It's a change of lifestyle and to do that you need to change habits. It's like taking the path less traveled, it will be difficult to begin with but it will get easier the more you do it and it becomes your habit. Good luck!
  • Ask yourself why you're eating it? Is it out of habit e.g I always have a cookie when I watch my favourite TV show? Or, is it an emotional reason? Before I change jobs I was always eating sweets because I was so miserable there. If you can identify the triggers then it can make it easier to make changes and create new…
  • Iron level seems to be a difficult one for me to hit regardless of all those lovely dark leafy green vegetables I eat. I get turned away from giving blood quite frequently because I'm usually a point or two below the recommended. Chia seed puddings are a thing I struggle to eat. These food bloggers make them sound so tasty…
  • Feel free to add me. I've had a blip the last 2-3 weeks since I've been ill. Back now and looking to boost my friend count so I can get more motivation. I eat fairly cleanly, love cooking and do a lot of swimming.
  • I'm from North Cornwall, so pretty close by. Feel free to add me :)
  • Me too! Any other exercise seems to curb my hunger while the morning swim makes me so hungry. I always have breakfast beforehand too.
  • Welcome! Feel free to add me :)
  • Get it checked ASAP. It could be nothing, but it's best to make sure.
  • If you're not using one already, I'd recommend getting digital food scales. It helped kickstart my weightloss again as I found I was under estimating for a lot of foods.
  • I've learnt to say no overtime. Or make it fit into my calories/macros. Over Easter someone put cream eggs on everyone's desk, mine is still there. I'm wondering how long it will take for a co worker to nick it.
  • Mayonaise once I brought myself digital food scales!
