I probably don't have words of wisdom for you, but I have learned that feeling a little hungry is a GOOD thing.... Now, if I overeat to the point of being full, I feel uncomfortable. Perhaps my stomach has shrunk -- I read that it will when you cut back. Just hang tough and focus on your goal (and the reasons you want to…

I've lived in oklahoma 51 years and don't recall earthquakes until the past 5 or 6 years. I'm pretty sure we had them, but they were likely much less intense. They are definitely disconcerting and are causing damage and disruption. Hope we see a tapering off and lessening in intensity!

I agree with Ellybean - you ARE losing the RIGHT stuff (body fat). Muscle gain is NOT a bad thing! It will help you burn more calories and that is good. My personal goal is not to touch the calories I burn in cardio each day and also to eat a couple hundred less than allowed by MFP. Some days I don't do well and I've found…

I'm sorry you are down. Remember that you cannot make everyone happy about ANYTHING. Sometimes people react because they are having a down day, themselves, and it spreads. So, my advice is to pick yourself back up, dust off, and "keep on keepin' on" toward your goals in life which include, of course, getting to your target…

Wonderful! Congratulations! I am struggling to lose weight and it is tough. Food is always available to comfort us!

Super! My journey has a ways to go while you are nearing the goal. Hopefully, I can stay motivated and focused and continue to lose weight for a healthier me. Thanks for the post and encouragement.

Good for you!

I see a lot of difference! Congratulations and keep focused. I'm working at losing quite a bit more weight and, from personal experience, staying on track and focused becomes more difficult as time passes.

This is just wrong. But, I'm old school....

Sorry, but he's a cheap, self-centered jerk. Whatever happened to treating a lady like a lady?

Woo hoo! Congrats! Keep on keepin' on!

Hello, Sammy Welcome! We're all here for the same reason -- to get healthier and to encourage one another. Glad you are here!

I'm in a similar situation...don't give up. Stay focused on the goals you set for yourself. You are doing this for yourself and that is important to remember. I'll watch for replies from more informed people than me....

I agree with others that you should simply forget it and move forward. Worrying or stressing over it doesn't help and denying yourself the nutrition you need today isn't healthy. We all slip up from time to time. Sometimes, a "free day" is a good thing to do -- just don't make it a daily habit and all will be good.

Good for you!

Mine is 1900. I usually keep it well below -- in the range of 1500-1600 or less. However, my dr. says it is not good to go into starvation mode -- too few calories can be counterproductive and also hurt your body. It is better to balance calories/activities and lose weight at a little slower pace.

I'm trying to follow the advice in "The Full Plate Diet" which recommends adding fiber to your diet. Foods with fiber help to fill you up and also take longer to digest. Also, if you eat a food item with fiber and drink water before a meal, it will help you to eat much less than you might otherwise. It is working for me as…
