  • Way to go w/ your weight loss!! Thank you so much for your response...very reassuring. I'll get to my gym and have them test to...at least another benchmark to compare!
  • I am seeking input on accuracy of bodyfat scales in general. Does anyone have a scale and has compared w/ tests from gym or other location? My scale seems accurate in weight, but never really changes the fat. I DO lift weights and do cardio and can see the body/muscle changes in the mirror, so some fat must be going!! Any…
  • :flowerforyou: Don't let those voices take over. I battle them always, and hate it, but REALLY enjoy the feeling I get from going to the gym. My best example...I'm a decent athlete...meaning I have played several team sports over the years, and now do lots of individual things like tennis, skiing etc. (have to ski...hubby…
  • I would like to try it to...but I don't have the video. As soon as I get it from Amazon (think I saw it there), I'll check in. I will probably do every other day. I have an elbow injury (tennis elbow) that is just starting to get better, so will be babying it thru any of the weight lifting segments.
  • :flowerforyou: Doesn't matter if you were off the wagon...the beautiful thing is, the fitter your body is, the quicker you "bounce" back! Your muscles have a wonderful memory, so just get back to it. I jumprope, but not often enough. Sometimes I use it at home to circuit train w/ weights. I just have dumbbells...5, 8, 10,…
  • You can also do the speedy version in the microwave. You'll need a glass baking dish (that will fit in your micro!). Just cut in half, scoop out seeds, put cut side down in glass dish w/ a little water...1/4 of a cup or so should do it. Cover w/ microwave safe plastic wrap and cook full power. Try about 5 minutes and check…
  • Excellent point about losing the fat...I have a body fat/weight scale and while I know it isn't exact in measuring body fat, it does let me know when the percentage is going up or down. I think that's what I need more than anything...not so much the lbs as toning up again and cutting body fat.
  • Hi - Just getting started. After keeping fit and at a healthy weight for years, I suddenly got very relaxed this summer and gained 8 lbs...now back to the gym and keeping a food log. I like knowing I can check in when I need lots of support. gymmom P.s. how do I get my ticker on here? think I figured it out...just testing.
