  • I seem to recall that the best time to use a handheld analyzer is first thing in the morning before any food or water after you've used the bathroom which is typically when you have the least amount of hydration in your system. Does that sound right?
  • Wasn't that I've forgotten what I ate... was more of I have no clue how this or that was prepared... LOL Not making excuses and I in fact knew that I wasn't staying in my caloric or any other range for that day. Again thank you everyone your support is overwhelmingly comforting to me.
  • I hope you're all right... and bless you for some great logical explanations!
  • We do make home made pizza as well. However, the point of this post is to show people that you can still "Splurge" on occasion and not actually cheat. Walmart has a low cal, fairly low in sodium pizza crust mix that my wife and I make BBQ and Ground Turkey/Chicken Pizza. Although it's almost as many calories as half of…
  • Oh, yeah we've already discussed that funky square cut and really dislike it... as for the home version we do that too but sometimes you just have to splurge... And yeah I'm prepared for any um "consequences"
  • I've been told and read on numerous occasions that MFP doesn't break out Added Sugars from Naturally occurring sugars. Avoid the added sugars don't worry so much about the naturally occurring sugars.
  • I was planning on getting it either way... was just wondering since mostly women were answering lol. I'll be surprised if I get through it entirely at first too...
  • At the risk of sounding sexist... Do guys do this workout too? Sorry, if I do sound that way, just noticed that only females have responded...
  • Have you considered a recumbent bike? Same basic exercise but much friendlier on the nether regions.
  • This, I have this app, it's amazing and as melsinct stated both are in there.
  • Based on the standard HR calculation of 220 - Age = 100% with you being 23 that's 197, I'd say you should probably tone it back some... you'll find as you continue to condition your heart rate will come down allowing you to intensify your workouts safely.
  • That's because you need to take out a loan to buy a full meal there! LOL On a serious note though, where you're going to be will have lots of fresh fruits and fresh fish... I'm sure you can find some healthy choices dining out.
  • This, She wants to add it to her diet, Cabbage soup is a vegetable soup that is very filling. Adding it to any diet is a great way to get more nutrients, fiber and to help you feel full to curb other appetite deficiencies.
  • So it appears the basic thought process is to 'ignore' the cholesterol from eggs in our Macro Nutrients Tally?
  • My wife and I enjoy a good meal out every now and then, We're both on MFP. If we know we're going out and we know ahead of time where we're going we will look up the nutritional info ahead of time. Most chain's have this available and a lot of it has been entered into the MFP database. That way we know exactly what to…
  • This is not the first time I've been down this road, I've learned the hard way many times before that if I start exercising for an hour a day right away I will discourage myself from going back after a few days. Please don't try to push me into something that could ultimately be my undoing. I have a lot of aspirations but…
  • Right now I'm trying to drop a few pounds before I start execising, I'm figuring on getting back to the gym at 250 which is only 15.5 pounds away. I will start out slowly with cardio and not long sessions to keep from getting discouraged. Thinking 15-20 minutes of cardio a day for a week. Then working to 30ish mins of…
  • They make a wireless keyboard for I'm thinking 60ish bucks.
  • This has always been my rule as well... I'm supposed to drink just over a gallon a day by this rule and I've never had any issues from doing so.
  • Wanted to add another note or benefit I've noticed to filling out or planning it ahead. The one thing I noticed that I was not able to stay within goal was sodium. Today, through some planning I will most likely be under for the first time ever on my sodium. So planning that through the day seems to make it much easier to…
  • Good to know I'm not the only one... and glad to know I'm not over obsessive!
  • Great Feedback, As you can see in my diary reaching fiber hasn't really been an issue was more concerned about the sugars. As for the Supplements I do take a one-a-day multi vit as well as a vitamin c and an omega 3. I'll try to relax my concerns on the Micros. Regards, Bruce
  • Yes I have noticed that on frozen instead of canned you will get lower sodium. I go with the canned because of personal taste. (Guess I'll have to try out some diff brands of frozen Vegs) As for the mac & cheese it's because it's available in a cup that takes only 3 minutes to make in the microwave. I do have a kill mac…
  • Really? So a Baked Potatoe or Sweet Potato or Banana will actually psudo cancel out my overage in sodium?
  • My food diary is public now.... as for the problem I know it's pre-packaged foods. I'm hoping people have suggestions for brands of pre-prepared foods that aren't as harsh on sodium levels.
