  • For me I simply ask where is the independent 3rd party clinical research studies published in peer reviewed journals on the product as a whole.
  • I have two 6' Tower Gardens I've been growing fruit and vegetables on my back patio with. It is a vertical aeroponic gardening system designed to place on their back patio/deck or front porch. Easier to watch the youtube than try and explain it!…
  • Your goal for the rest of your life is to exercise at least 5-6 days a week. How many of those days are in the gym is up to you. In late fall, winter, and early spring I'm at 5-6 days a week in the gym. Once it warms up I replace a few gym workouts with runs, hikes, bike rides, etc.
  • This, a healthy benefit to strength training. I also love that when I give blood they never have any problem find a vein!

  • This. I've heard asphalt is 10 times softer than cement. You should also run against traffic not with it.
  • Are you basically asking what is it going to take to lose 40-50 lbs in 24 weeks?
  • This is a personal decision for you and only you because its your lifestyle. What is the time of day you will consistently exercise 4-6 days a week? For me I figured it out a long time ago that first thing in the morning was the time I would consistently go to the gym and work out. It wasn't about when my body would best…
  • You have plenty of time to do the coach to 5K training plan. Take your time, follow the plan, and you'll see great improvement in your jogging pace and distance. As for the Color Run 5K I would classify it as a "fun run" where many will be doing it just for the enjoyment, walk the whole route, and not caring about their…
  • It sounds more like a weight loss issue not a weight lifting issue. You can't spot remove fat as in just your arms. So tell us how are you doing with your nutrition and eating at a deficit? How long have you been following a good eating plan to lose weight? Provide us some details around that so we can help you.
  • Kale grew very well in my 2 Tower Gardens on the patio, they thrive in the cooler spring and fall weather. We used them in soups, smoothies, and salads. Never had any bitterness issues but maybe it is because ours is picked fresh and consumed within hours. We have also made kale chips.

  • I look at 1) is there anything benefit to my body in consuming "whatever" and 2) are there healthier alternatives. I see no benefits in these two and an abundance of alternatives that are better for you.
  • I use Juice Plus+ Complete which is 100% plant based, comes in chocolate and vanilla flavors. Love having chocolate peanut butter smoothies packed with bananas, berries, spinach, kale, flax seed, etc.
  • Two years ago is when I had my significant weight loss where all of my 36" pants that were extremely tight eventually went to extremely baggy. Same for a few belts. It felt so good to go try on new cloths at a much smaller size but buying 5 new pairs of pants hurt the wallet. I also made a point of donating those 36" pants…
  • Agree, very little coming out of a can has a good nutritional value.
  • I've set a similar goal for pull-ups only. Push-ups were not on my radar but I know I can do 50 continuous. I'm doing my pull-up sets to failure and normally try to get in 4-5 sets. Since starting I've increased my max by 2 so I'm fine with my current progress. My goal was 15 "no cheating, full arms extended" continuous…
  • I never have an issue when someone reflects their passion for their business which is designed to get someone healthier and more fit. However I do have issues when they claim it does something they have no scientific proof. So here we go . . . . Are there any independent third party clinical research studies on humans,…
  • When food is steamed or made into a soup, the temperature is fixed at 100 degrees Celsius or 212 Fahrenheit — the temperature of boiling water. This moisture-based cooking prevents food from browning and forming toxic compounds. Most essential nutrients in vegetables are made more absorbable after being cooked in a soup…
  • I weigh myself daily which means I see myself gaining a pound here, losing a pound there, and staying the same all of the time. If you can't handle seeing that Yo Yo every once in awhile then I would NOT weigh myself daily. However it is a great way to analyze what makes your weight go up or down. The vast majority of…
  • No you are not exercising too much. I would also need more details around your strength training routine and at what intensity your cardio workouts are. I don't consider walking the dog as a workout but others might, at least you are moving a lot. Good nutrition will help in your muscle recovery and eating at a deficit…
  • Wow! If this was my sister I'd give her my undivided attention to hear what she has to say because they are family. If they didn't bring it up I would because I love them and want to know what is happening in their lives. I'd also hope for their success in their new business adventurer and try and help them where I can.…
  • I've never heard of a research study finding an issue with this, can anyone direct me to where this was found in their research. Thanks.
  • Contacting your agricultural extension office is a great idea to fully understand what grows best in your area and when. Three years ago a guy named Tim Blank developed an aeroponic system (air & water) called a Tower Garden. They are designed for your back patio, front porch, or indoors. We purchased one in 2012 and loved…
  • Like others have said, the majority of the obstacles are similar to climbing over walls or playground equipment. HITT is the best way go and simple strength training like pull ups, chin ups, push ups etc. will help. The race will start with about a 1 mile run before the first obstacle so pace yourself accordingly. The…
  • Sure you could skip it, giving your body a 48 hour weightlifting break or you could do as I stated. Cardio + Weights day 1 Cardio + Ooops something came up (skip) day 2 Weights + Cardio day 3
  • I figured this one out 25 years ago. My wife loves my muscles but hates rough callused hands caressing her which takes her out of the mood. Therefore I wear gloves! ; ) Bodily fluids (Callus juice) just added another reason!
  • Agree. Should be no issues doing cardio in the morning and strength training in the afternoon. Days you miss a session you could do the one you missed the next morning (miss evening strength training = next morning is strength training and evening is cardio).
  • If you would have read my previous post that was already answered. No and No. I'm not here endorsing Herbalife, in fact I wouldn't. However I am all for a person sharing their passion with others, if it is part of their primary or second job, so be it.
  • Good, sound advice. Slowly work up to the distance with slow jogs, don't worry about speed. That will come after race 2, 3, 4, 5 where you'll tell yourself "I can cut 1-2 minutes off my last 5K time".
  • I am very familiar with many forms of network marketing business models and strategies. Naturally their friends and family will be first on their list to share their product and their business. I do hope the persons motivation is always driven by their passion (in this case "improving others health and nutrition") and not…
  • I've never tried Herbalife nor do I have relatives that have tried it and/or are distributors. What I read into this post is your Sister-In-Law wants to bless you and your husband with a Christmas gift of health and nutrition. Sounds like a great SIL to me!
