  • I use SmartSense Whey Protein Powder mixed with Smart Balance Lactose Free, Fat Free Milk and have NO Problems at all with my allergies...
  • There is almost always weight gain during a woman's TOM... simply for the fact that our bodies tend to retain water then...that and the fact, that sometimes (for me almost inevitably) I tend to want to eat all the time!
  • FANTASTIC! I did the same thing when my husband was deployed to Korea for a year... by the time he came home from Mid-tour, I had dropped from a size VERY tight 12 (I think I was in denial that I really needed a 14) down to size 4-6... 30 lbs in 5 months for me... Congrats on a job well done! Lisa
  • I work two jobs...both of which require me to be on my feet anywhere from 4-8 hrs a shift...working 7 days a week. I am lucky if I am able to get 5 restless hours of sleep a night...
  • Throw out the clothes that no longer fit! That way when you hit your goal, you have no choice but to maintain or continue with your next goal... ;)
  • I use them in slow cooker... depending on what they are though, I may add them later as to nt overcook them...
  • I was going to suggest stability ball to do your crunches on too, but it may still bother your neck if not done properly. ?e personally never put my hands behind head but rather cross them on my chest as to keep from pulling on my neck and shoulders... it is definatley less strain that was. I too have scoliosis and doing…
  • I like to just brown it up, add a homemade marinara sauce with lots of veggies (green peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc) and serve it over baked spaghetti squash.. YUMMY!
  • I've been a bit behind... working on making up my push-ups the last couple days... Carbs not so good... :( Wed. 50 Push-ups Thursday: 55 Push-Ups...so far, might do another set before climbing into bed. They wear me out and I tend to sleep better doing planks and pushups! Lisa
  • WOW~~ You are doing an AMAZING job! The boost in confidence really show's in your update photos. Keep up what you are doing and you will reach all our goals! Congrats on a job well done thus far! Lisa
  • Welcome Ladybug, from another Ladybug! My screen name/email has been Ladybug (well, a slight variation of it) since we got internet in about 95! You've come to the right place. The support, encouragement, and motivation you will find here will help you reach your goals as long as you are consistent in logging in and find…
  • I've been doing the www.hundredpushup.com challenge but been doing them modified. Maybe to make this challenge I'll do half my challenge push-ups each day (3 days a week) standard, the other half modified... My last workout consisted of 98 total push-ups between 5 sets...
  • I'm joining in... This one will be super easy for me though... except maybe the carbs....but I'll work that. Push-Ups will be a breeze as I've been working the www.hundredpushup.com challenge. My last workout consisted of 98 push-ups... 143 squats... and 249 crunches (one workout, total between 5 sets). But, that's been…
  • if you are always feeling bloated, check your sodium intake and/or caffeine intake... they can be big factors of retaining water... Cardio is where the fat blasting really comes into play. Maybe you need to change up your routine and confuse your body a bit to break through the plateau. Muscle Toning and shaping does help…
  • I have not personally tried them, but really want a pair! I did have a customer at work comment that her doctors had informed her that she would require surgery for whatever reason, but after she started wearing the Easy Tone Shoes, whatever her problem was, kept her from needing the surgery. So, my guess is there is some…
  • I've tried a few different types... still not found my "favorite" but the best I have had taste wise is the SmartSense sold at K-Mart. I don't care for it with water, prefer Lactose Free, Fat Free Smart Balance Milk. Kinda pricey but with my allergies it's easier for me. I also like the vanilla mixed with a juice of some…
  • I do standing crunches, squats, and/or lunges while I dry my hair in the mornings...LOL. Anything to get a few extra minutes in of fitness... ;)
  • I always weigh in AFTER... TOM has many different affect on me, so I'm always a good 5lbs heavier... unfortunately, but I know it's only temporary!
  • I'm in... and tomorrow is an awesome day to do it as it's NATIONAL WORKOUT DAY starting at 12:00 AM running until 11:59 PM... so lets do it! Lisa
  • I also agree! Exercise should be logged separate... the rest should be your normal everyday activities... work, babysitting, housecleaning, shopping, etc. etc....
  • Hey everyone! I've been MIA yet again... hopefully, you will all be seeing more of me now. My Grandpa went back to Florida for another month so now I won't feel so guilty about sitting in my room on the computer, or taking off to go to the gym instead of being home spending time with Grandpa... I'm in the process of trying…
  • FINALLY... was able to get my weigh in and measurements today... Good News all the way around this time :) Bust: 33.75 (+ .75, gotta like that!) • I've been MIA... ice storms and personal issues at home with my daughter had me offline for a week, then last week my Grandfather came home from FL so I have been spending more time with him before he goes back and my hours at work have picked up considerably (just still not as much as I would like). I'm holding my own as…
  • I agree with that. Caffeine tea your body would need the plain water to flush out the caffeine. Decaf you would not. Tea is a good antioxidant for our bodies... BUT when drinking the caffeinated teas, you will retain more water. I'd go for Decaf for the better benefits as you are less likely to retain as much water....
  • You can always change it up... some days go shorter distances with faster pace, other days go slower and longer... keeps the body guessing at what you will be doing. The longer you keep at it, the easier it will become and before long, you may be able to incorporate a little jog in there too! Good Luck and keep up the…
  • I can't answer from an eating disorder point of view, but making healthy well balanced meal choices is always the best way to go. It might take time to get the portions and combination in control, but if you log your food /drink intakes EVERYDAY you will see where your strengths and weaknesses are. This is an AWESOME site…
  • leg lifts (laying on side, or on back), crunches, toe touches (with legs closed or in a V position), donkey kicks, side kicks, Use resistance bands or weights to give added benefits...
  • I'm like Way behind right now...not logged in about a week since we had the severe ice storms last weekend and lost power...had issues with my daughter too, so decided to attempt unhooking the wireless router so she would not have access to online with her computer and ended up having my computer down too...so had to wait…
  • I had pretty good week overall... calories were good I think everyday. A couple days, I ended up working out to earn more calories so I wouldn't be over...but that's good right! We all need to work out. I love being able to log my food and knowing exactly where I'm at. Today... not so well. My daughter and niece pretty…
