I used to drink a lot of beer. Moderately during the week, and excessively on the weekends. I limited my drinking to Fri and Sat only. I cut out beer, except the occasional Select 55. When I do drink, it is Rum and Diet.

I think it's BS. Diet soda will not make you fat. I've always averaged 5-6 cans of diet a day. I did this when I was fat, I did this while I was losing weight, and I still do it while maintaining 5% body fat.

I take the weekly approach. I know I need to be under during the week so I can be over on the weekends. It's been an effective method.

I do the exact same thing. I keep 2 used powerade 32oz bottles in the fridge at home and 1 at work. In total I drink 6 a day=1.5 gallons. On top of that I drink 2 cups of coffee and about 5 diet cokes on average. That's a lot of fluids and a lot of trips to the bathroom haha.

I started running in February of this year and my 5k PR is 21:13.
