I would recommend 10 mins cardio as a warm up, lift, and then the balance of your cardio after lifting. You lift better fresh. Tips are drink plenty of water, change up your work outs regularly, and add more weight when you can bang out 3 sets at current weight comfortably.

I often leave my flat for work in the morning, think that I may have forgotten something (i.e. left a window open), and returned home to check only to find out that I needn't have bothered and have made myself late for work

I still go to the gym if I have a cold as I find that "sweating it out" often helps (my work outs consist of both strength and cardio). The only time I would not work out with a cold is if I am feverish or have a possible chest infection. Working in Central London and using public transport means that you catch every cold…

I think I need to download that ap

Where's my money? :grumble:

I use myprotein's apple crumble & custard or chocolate protein powders. I blend the protein with milk/water before adding it to the oats, then I microwave it.

I am 45, lost over 100 lb, and I only have a little loose skin around my tummy. It all comes down to genetics, age, how much you have to lose, and how quickly you lose it. Slow and steady is good, moisterising helps, as does strength training (weights/yoga/pilates etc). I wouldn't worry too much about loose skin if you…

I've used all sorts, but my best solution has been to use normal buds but use a hairband to keep them in place.

Apparently Rupert Grint and Russell Tovey are 10-1 favourites with William Hill to get the role, but there is also talk that the role could go to a woman with Helen Mirren and Olivia Colman being mentioned.

I don't think Dr Who fans will tolerate a Scientologist as the new Dr
-
Any Dr Who fans?

I did lager on top of a protein shake yesterday evening with no ill effects. A protein mudslide sounds epic

Not a lot, I would have checked out their profile before accepting them. However, I will check their posts for the next few days, and if they are logging under 1200 calories a day on a regular basis, I will delete them. Also, every once in a while I purge my friend list to remove those who don't interact much.

Someone recommended this to me http://www.wheyhey.co.uk/index.php?lang=en Seems to have 5g carbs per 100 g. Apparently tastes quite nice.

I am one of 4 kids, and the only one of us that required reins was my youngest sister. Any opportunity and she would make a run for it. I lost count of the amount of times we would have to scour the neighbourhood for her. She hated the contraption, but it was necessary.

Water for me, too rich with milk. Edit: thanks for the reminder, was packing for the gym and almost forgot my shaker.

Not sure where you are based, but I am in the UK and use Bionsen roll on which is both alcohol and aluminium free. I did use the Body Shop own brand, but they discontinued it. Bionsen is effective, doesn't irritate my skin nor leave marks on my clothes. It is more expensive but I think worth it.

I don't do this with exercise, as I have a new found love for it, but with food, I agree. This time around I would include treats into my daily calorie allowance and have an occasional cheat day. Whereas in the past I would deprive myself such foods, then binge, feel guilty and give up, I now just carry on. I know this way…

Carry on lifting. I lift and am now a 36 band on bras. I have in the past weighed considerably less than I do now (we are talking 20 - 30 lb and wore the same dress size that I am now), but never dropped below a 38 band before.
-
My knees, hips and shoulders do this all the time. I was worried about it when I started lifting and took glucosamine, and it has improved a bit but is still there. I have no injury issues with those areas, so I just regard it as a musical accompaniment to my work outs (much to my PTs amusement).

I concur. OP, I have a similar body shape and am tall. I avoid floaty skirts and dresses (unless cut on the bias), opting for fitted short skirts (I like block jewel colours) and dark coloured non-fussy tops. I also avoid button down blouses (scared of busting out). Trousers work (tailoring in general is good), and I like…

I was neutral until I saw Bayern fans on Sky News, they are sure that the will win that I am now on the side of Dortmund. Happy to watch any match to hold off the pain of the end of season, Surprised to see so many German football shirts being worn in East London today

I had a similar issue with pull ups after I strained a neck muscle. It was the only exercise affected and it eventually cleared up but it was very painful at the time.

Huh! My BF puts my current "fitness" phase down to a temporary blip. Apparently I go through phases lasting no more than 2 years, although I stopped smoking almost 4 years ago and have been a season ticket holder at West Ham for 16 years (my most expensive habit). I acknowledge their comments, and use it as fuel to reach…

France, Denmark and Ireland stood out for me. Probably means none of them will do well.

I liked the French song. I was impressed with hers arms, I reckon she lifts
-
Lol, Not heard any of the songs, so I will be watching with an open mind. My work colleague watched the elimination shows and said that there were a lot of dance type songs this year. I like to watch for the commentary. Edit: love Bonny, hope she does ok

Happy birthday, funnily its my 45th tomorrow  I work out 6 days a week a mix of weights, circuit training, classes, squash and running. I lift heavy and have made big gains in my strength this year. I have only been lifting 15 months, and exercising 21 months (before I would only walk and sometimes played…
