Last time I lost a bunch of weight (100+ pounds), I went from a 40D to a 36B! And boy, was THAT a relief! Trying to get back down there again. I'm not as heavy as I was before, but I'm still in a D and I *hate* that.

Flat Out healthy flatbread wraps (100 cal), hummus, a couple slices of lean ham and an ounce of your favorite reduced fat cheese. That's my favorite on-the-go lunch - 250 calories of yummy!

Are you using the grips on the machines or are you wearing a strap? (Straps are much more accurate)

I have friends who have sworn off meat - especially beef - for health reasons. After some time of not eating it, they've lost their ability to digest it. That's what probably happened with your daughter. Our bodies make enzymes to help us digest what we eat. I think we stop making them for certain things if we don't eat…

It's hard to know without any idea of how much you have lost, whether or not you're happy with your results, etc. What I did at my last appointment was to take my food and exercise diaries, the results of my metabolic test (New Leaf), and my weight loss progress, which I am NOT happy with. We discussed my nutrition and…

I'm not what you'd call flat-chested - I really like the high-impact sports bras by Danskin. About $11 at Walmart. But then, I don't run...

What Mike said... You may just need to learn how to eat a healthy, balanced diet, as well as learning how to get yourself physically fit. A counselor can help you with that. Good luck!

Sounds like your posture was incorrect and you pinched a nerve in your neck or upper back. Do you have a chiropractor?
-
I know how you feel... I'm working out like a fiend after years of being sedentary and I'm not seeing stunning results on the scale. I'm trying not to panic or get discouraged - I figure sooner or later, the math will triumph.

Thanks for that!

You have to know what your daily TDEE is (Total Daily Energy Expenditure). Then you have to figure out how much of a calorie deficit you need per day and/or per week to determine how quickly you will lose the weight. You might want to play around with the calculators on this website: http://www.caloriesperhour.com/ To lose…

Years ago I went on Weight Watchers - that was back before there were points and frozen dinners that listed them. I HAD to learn to cook. You can find cooking lessons all over the internet and on YouTube... go for it! You'll be much healthier for it!

Slice it raw and dip in fat free ranch dressing as a snack.

Okay.. I'm going to give you another opinion... I see that a lot of your calorie burn is for things like moving furniture, carrying boxes up stairs, "work-heavy" whatever that is, gardening, cleaning, walking (5 hours? Are you a waitress or something?) I'm not questioning your integrity in logging these items, but I would…

I was just at my doctor on Thursday and we discussed the quitting smoking/weight gain issue - I sure the heck had it happen to me (and I was put on anti-depressants and I'm menopausal... triple whammy!). What he said was that smoking causes weight gain for two reasons: 1. Food tastes better..... to which I said THAT IS…

Nice! I like... :flowerforyou:

I'm starting to feel that way about my favorite piece of equipment - the Octane xRide. It's best described as a seated elliptical. Today I set out to do 1 hour, but I felt pretty good so I did an extra 1/2 hour. I'm learning how to work with it in a way that I am now really able to progress in my exercise capacity. I can…

Keep losing - at a certain point, they will probably shrink some. On me, they're among the last to go. But it has a lot to do with your particular body.
-
@smashleymcgee ... I think you're looking at weight training the wrong way. Let me explain. Cardio burns calories, yes... and if you're truly in the cardio zone, your body is burning more carbs than fat. If you're in the fat burn zone, your body is burning more fat than carbs. When you stop exercising, your body stops…

My experience with anti-depressants/anti-anxiety meds is that I blew up like a balloon - about 30 pounds in 2 months with no change in diet. Go read my profile - I tell the story. Now I'm on the generic equivalent of Wellbutrin and I have lost weight. It's not a good choice for anxiety, however, as it raises the brain's…

Gotta vote for red wine - has lots of healthy things going for it. :-)

Thanks for the kind words! Just a note - if you don't like the tangy, acidic flavor of the sun-dried tomatoes, use HALF and add a cup of kale. You can also add a little Splenda to take the edge off.

Butterfly it, pound it flat, smear with some pureed chipotles in adobo (SPICY!!! WARNING!!!) and broil. Cut into strips. Serve in a low-fat, low-carb tortilla with some lettuce and fat free sour cream... YUM! You can butterfly any chicken breast and marinate it or rub it with your favorite spice rub and broil. Always…

Here's the recipe... Wow! That is fabulous!! You look just great!

Very cool! I would love to have it do the HRM, but I'd have to buy a new one - the Polar blutooth - for $80... ouch!

<-- is Italian. Pasta is an essential food group!

I hate to tell you this, but red meat and dairy will do the trick. There is some very lean beef out there - tenderloin, London broil especially - once a week you can make those fit into your plan. Fat free cheese, sour cream and skim milk can boost the calcium and also fit into your diet. I see you're doing that already...…

I think we're having a misunderstanding of terms here. Yeah, I got a low number (1093) for RMR. RMR was taken after an 8-hour fast, reclining in a comfy chair with lights off and no sound and I was verrrrrry relaxed. That number would be close to BMR, but that can only be taken, from what I understand, just after waking.…

That's what I meant.
