  • I'm with jls - I'm 21 weeks and still very fatigued, but it's much better than morning sickness. I still feel naseous each morning when I wake up, but I haven't thrown up a single time, and for that I am thankful :) I find that my eating really impacts my energy - when I get enough protein and steer clear of junk food, I…
  • I was told at my 20 week ultrasound that I have an anterior placenta, so it's on the front. I just felt my first movement this past week, and she said it will be many more weeks until my husband can feel it from the outside, due to the position of my placenta.
  • My husband and I don't give tangible items for birthday/Christmas/anniversary - we go to an NFL game every fall as our gift to each other. We have a wonderful weekend spending time together and get to watch some awesome football while we're at it. But, I do love a good card on those holidays :)
  • I'm with you - I bought one around 11 weeks and it was the best thing I did! Mine was $55 on fetaldoppler.net and I got the Sonoline B...it's awesome. At first, we listened a lot more, but now I do it probably once a week (I'm 20 weeks). So comforting!
  • too cute :) I hope you can get some sleep, though!!! I felt our little guy/gal kick for the first time today (I'm 20 weeks) - such a crazy feeling!!!
  • I've had issues with this for years, and I finally found a pair of shoes which helps my feet. I wear Dansko clogs to work every day, and it's helped me control the PF. That, and never wearing flip flops or going barefoot!
  • Officially hit the halfway mark (20 weeks, woohooo!) and am up 22.9lbs (and no it's NOT 23lbs...still 22 in my book). must...not...panic...
  • Not currently in WV, but went to Marshall...and by the looks of your ticker and the WVU football, I'm thinking we can't be friends :)
  • I eat 2500, but I ate that much before I was pregnant too...I have a desk job, but previously worked out A LOT, so high TDEE = lots of yummy food!!!!
  • I make a pumpkin pie protein shake... 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1 cup milk (any kind) 1/4 cup pumpkin puree 1/4 cup lite cool whip (optional) 1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice 6 ice cubes YUM!
  • If we have a boy, he will be circumcised.
  • animal crackers have been the best for me - also, carnation instant breakfast
  • I like the Pregnancy Fitness dvd set from Target by Lindsay Brin - it is a strength/cardio combo and has a different dvd for each trimester, as well as a post-baby bootcamp. She's a bit too cheerful at times, but I don't mind too much. I have a prenatal yoga dvd also from target (can't remember the name at the moment) and…
  • We've been stocking up as well, but we chose to get giftcards instead of buying actual diapers/wipes. So, every time I go to target or walmart, I get a $10-25 giftcard to put aside for diapers/wipes. That wouldn't help with the points program, though!
  • We ended up with the Delta brand from Target (I think it's on Amazon too) - a crib and changing table in the winter park series, and dresser in the bentley series. All white, and we paid about $500 for all of it including tax and shipping. They're all really sturdy and the whites match perfectly!
  • I also worked out really hard (two a days most days) prior to pregnancy, but I just haven't had the energy to keep up anywhere close to that. I only do pregnancy fitness DVDs, which are 30-45 minutes and give me a 200-350 calorie burn, max. I do it 4-5 times a week. It helped me to put together a plan, and to allow myself…
  • I'm loving the laughs this morning :) I had another lovely moment this morning - grabbed my husband's kindle off the kitchen counter instead of my phone. So now I'm supposed to read his political books on his kindle instead of have any communication for the day at work...oops :)
  • You may have mentioned this already, but are you seeking counseling for your binge eating? You binge for emotional reasons, and a counselor can help you talk it out. Until you find healthier ways to deal with emotions, you will struggle on any amount of calories. I say this with 100% confidence, as I've been in counseling…
  • So sweet :)
  • you're stressing over 3-4 pounds at 28 weeks? or are you looking for affirmation that you've done well? either way, if you are eating healthily and a good amount of calories for you and baby, then try to ignore the scale if it's stressing you out. I put mine away for awhile during the first trimester as it was shooting up…
  • I like a series I found at Target by Lindsay Brin called "Pregnancy Fitness" - it's a 4 DVD set, one for each trimester + 1 for postnatal, and they incorporate cardio and strength training. Lindsay is a bit peppy at times, but I think overall it's a good workout and matches my nonexistant energy level :)
  • I'm married, but would love to support you :) Friend me if you'd like!
  • what a wonderful post to read this morning :) congratulations on your hard work and determination - and best of luck with your future family :)
  • After initially shooting up like CRAZY in the first trimester, my weight gain has stabilized the last few weeks...the only thing I've done differently is I switched to a low acid diet (I have interstitial cystitis and low acid diet helps control it). I hope this trend continues for awhile so I can get back on a healthier…
  • My MS has continued well into the 2nd trimester (I'm 17 weeks) and I've JUST recently discovered animal crackers :) I don't know if it's the combo of carbs and sugar, but they really help me feel better if I eat them as soon as I wake up :)
  • This was me earlier this year! I'm 17 weeks pregnant now, but would love to support any of you through your weight loss and TTC journeys :) I lost about 40lbs prior to TTC and really improved my health, and I'm so thankful. It helped set a good example for this pregnancy, and it's definitely been easier on me! Best of luck…
  • You look great :) Just keep working hard!!!!!!
  • for a close friend, I would absolutely do it, and I believe my husband would be supportive. I would never do something without his support; however, I wouldn't have married him had we not been on the same page with most things.
