All drinks count, just some drinks are healthier than others. It is true that of all the water you need in one day, you'll get some of it from food. So if food counts then surely hot drinks, fizzy drinks and squash count. I did read that tea and coffee don't dehydrate you because the water in the mug cancels out the…

I know exactly what you mean, I have the same problem. When we grow up our parents and teachers tell us that looks don't matter, it's what is on the inside that counts, that working hard at school is more important than having the latest fashions or whatever. Even in the media, celebrities that take a lot of care over…

Instead of toast or cereal for breakfast, have yogurt or cottage cheese. Instead of a meat/cheese/whatever sandwich, have a meat/cheese/whatever salad and increase the amount of meat/cheese/whatever. Instead of potatoes on the side, have a less starchy vegetable. Mushrooms and broccoli are very low carb and have a…

I was very impressed with Riverford. You can't make any substitutions with Riverford but I liked that because it forced me to eat things I wouldn't normally. It was also good because you can manage your account online and you don't have to have the same box each week, we used to have a small box one week and a medium box…

Your brain needs glucose. Your body converts protein to glucose so no carbohydrates are needed for brain function.

Where did he say it was coming off slowly? He said he didn't have much more to lose but he didn't say if that was happening fast or slow. Also why would he increase his calories to 2000 per day if he's not hungry enough to eat that much?

Totally agree with this. It is not possible for one person to ensure that every single thing they do doesn't impact negatively on any other being, but at least we are trying. Sounds like the OP is mostly interested in picking an argument. PS: jedi I am a low carbing vegetarian! Friend me if you like :)

I want to eat more when I eat carbs, because they don't keep me full. I can eat a huge bowl of porridge for breakfast and be hungry mid morning. But if I eat eggs scrambled in butter for breakfast I don't even think about food until lunchtime. I actually like the taste of eggs more than porridge - I only ate porridge…

I eat three eggs at a time (or two if I'm having something else with them but usually I eat them on their own) but that's only about once a week. I often have one egg in a microwave muffin for breakfast. I would like to eat more but we buy them from a farm rather than the supermarket so it means a special journey.

Low carb is the only diet where I don't get hungry between meals. The more carbs I eat the hungrier I get until I could stuff my face all day and still not be satisfied.

Almond flour and ground almonds are pretty much the same thing.

If anyone else is a low carbing vegetarian feel free to add me.

According to the scales this morning I am 186lbs now, that's down from 190lbs at the start of September. I'm not sure I believe it, I never lose weight fast so I think there is some other factor at work. I didn't drink much yesterday so it could be dehydration.

Hey I wouldn't mind joining this. Officially I only weigh myself on the 1st of the month, but actually I sneak weigh-ins in more often :) On 1 September I was 190lbs and this morning I am 188lbs, so I was pleased with that.
