Yes i am aware that Tiktok (along with other forms of social media) can be misleading. So yes i did do my research & know the information you shared. I was doing mine between 8-9pm on my 1st pen but noticed I started to feel peckish in the evening so I've switched to 8-9am and so far so good. I have read that it takes about 11hrs for it to kick in

I ran a 5k park run yesterday and used my inhaler before I started and it did the trick. No breathing problems or burning sensation.
-
Got checked out by nurse, she was all for giving me an inhaler but then as Dr for second opinion. He said no, need to see him Thursday as he wants to rule out cardiac issues

Update. Went to walk in centre. Was advised that it could be one of 3 things: seasonal asthma, exercise induced asthma or muscle related. She could not test for asthma but advised to book appt to see the nurse at my surgery (appt tomorrow) and as I was running yesterday I was told to take ibruprofen an hr before my run as…

Thank you all for your advise. I have been running for about 5 months.I am in the beginners group at the club I run with. We do walk/run and it's not too fast (Running with a 67year old coach with a foot problem) However I do run 5k parkruns and I agree, I have run to fast for my ability in these (finishing in 38-41mins)…

Thanks. My garmin auto syncs with MFP. I will now disconnect it so it doesn't,

I wasn's sure of what you meant above, but I followed your link and it was much clearer - going by what it states "If you are using an external calculator and then customizing your intake to match that, you should not be eating back your exercise calories" as I used IIFYM to determine my macros etc, I should not be eating…

Hi Kimny72, until yesterday I had not been weighing as often as I should be, not logging everyday and also using measurements in the database which as you say may not be accurate. I have asked the same question elsewhere and a Fitness Trainer & Sports Nutritionist advised not to eat the calories - so many mixed opinions. I…

Thank you all. Yesterday someone advised me to reduce my fats slightly and increase my carbs, so I have my stats on MFP at Carbs 35%, Pro 40% and Fat 25% - is this ok or should I reset it to what IIFYM stated? VataSh: I want to lose weight & tone up and thank you for the info - very useful Hornsby: I plan to start lifting…

They currently have a one month free trial which allows access to full length videos etc. After the month I think it's about £7 a month.

I think I read somewhere that protein powder should only be added to cold fluids (not sure why) does it curdle or make your coffee thick?

Hi StaceyS51 & Gleggio, well i wish I coudl be positive about it but I am losing the will to live with mine- I burnt 376 cals in class according to my vivosmart HR. however when it syncs with MFP it has 3 entries - 1 x 376 and 2 x 752 along & registered it as a run even though it was a dance class. Almost tempted to go…
-
Thanks - it gave 1014 - i have now deleted the calories for steps
-
it was a clubbercise class which involves a lot of arm movement as you dance with glow sticks. so going by what you have said, i think it may not have registered properly for the time that it was on loosely Garmin connect says 214 calories but MFP had 2 entries - 214 for my class and then 800+ for steps
-
Which do you prefer?

I had the Polar H7 but have gotten sick of the chest strap. so opted for the polar A360, but as much as i did the things I wanted it to unlike the Polar H7 it did not sync with MFP. I then switched to Fitbit charge HR but quickly realised it was just a fancy pedometer. So have now opted for (waiting delivery) of my Garmin…

I too was sick of the Polar strap - so shifted to Fitbit charge, but I found it did not do all I wanted, felt like it was just a fancy pedometer (my opinion) so have now opted for the Garmin vivosmart HR - should be delivered in the next few days - cant wait - feel free to add me on garmin connect - Debsjeav

I use slim & save shakes with an added scoop of protein powder but as a supplement not a meal replacement
