I am 5'8" and currently at 149.2. My goal weight is anywhere between 135 and 139 (yes i would like to be out of the 140's). However I went down to as low as 143 and started feeling abit too thin. I never felf this way when I was at 135 abt 10 yrs ago. I will add a pic shortly.

I will eat a slice of cake on your behalf  I have decided to work from home today as it is my birthday. Usually I plan a holiday around by birthday but didn't get around to doing that this year. Will holiday next month instead. I am just going to have a relaxing day with as little stress as possible

Happy Birthday! It's my Birthday too

It's my birthday! Just thought I would get that off my chest

Nbowen, I know exactly what you mean. Perhaps you should try creating your own recipes. I have done that for a couple of dishes

Oh JamCubeChi, sorry to hear you have gained. Looks like we are in the same boat. I am currently 1.8 lb below what I started mfp at over a year ago. I made it down to 8 lb loss earlier this year but gained it all back and even exceeded my start weight by 0.6 lb. Luckily no one who sees me daily has noticed. Maybe my body…

hope you have a brilliant time. where will you be staying?

hi there, representing Jamaica here:wink: where are you from?
-
I am originally from Jamaica but have to say that of all the Caribbean islands I have been to (not counting my home country of course), Tobago has got to be my favourite!
-
I am not a fan of skimmed milk or whole milk. skimmed has no taste to me and the whole milk is abit too rich. i therefore buy either semi-skimmed (1.7%) of 1%. these 2 are perfect for my palate.
-
I must admit I do alot of quick add calorie entries when it comes to Jamaican foods as I often fear some of the items I see on here are over or under-estimated. I often just do a breakdown of the ingredients in my head and come up with a figure, adding some extra of course just in case. One item in particular that gets to…

well at least i didn't gain any weight this week. at the same weight as i was a week ago. yes, the only downside to mcdonalds chips is that they are already salted. i would have preferred to add my own salt
-
one thing i can give mcdonalds credit for though is that their chips are great. alot nicer than the chips at kfc. i use to be a fan of scones (cream tea) when i lived in devon but have not had it since i moved to london over 8 years ago. i ate too much today. as i didn't go to the gym this morning, i think i already…

i am a fan of this show and have been catching up on past episodes on the channel 4 website recently. as most of you have said, i think it is a great concept.
-
i thought kfc biscuits back in jamaica were disgusting. all i could taste was baking soda lol. i use to like their rice and peas though. it's a shame the kfc here does not have as much choices. i miss the good ole spicey and bbq.
-
 i like the way you phrase that. KFC and Nandos will always be my "fast food" of choice. Mcdonalds I only have about once every couple of years to fill a gap. Burger King I have not had in at least 5 years
-
lol enjoy the big mac. haven't had one for ages. when i go to mcdonalds i mostly have the nuggets or the filet fish sandwich with no tartar. i use to love their apple pie as well but haven't had it in over 5 yrs
-
I wished I had brought my own food as well lol. Though I had mcdonalds it was pretty low calorie as I only had a mcnuggets meal with a bottle of water. The nuggets were 250 cals for all 6 and the fries was just over 300. Didn't count the bbq sauce but it can't have been that much. I had this meal about 6pm. I was actually…

lol, I didn't see any ackee or patty but then again I didn't study all the food areas. I keep seeing alot of sweet treats, pie and mash and pish and chips. I was also abit turned off by alot of the food stalls as they were empty and mcdonalds was packed so I followed the crowd. Before y'day It's been at least 2 years since…

Had a great afternoon at the olympic park yesterday. The weather was great too which was a bonus. I got there about 5pm so wandered arount he park a little before going in the stadium. Ended up having mcdonalds as I was abit hungry and didn't fancy any of the other foods they had. Great to see Pistorius win the 400m.…

With regards to bread, i mostly buy "hovis best of both" or "kingsmill 50/50". I am based in the UK. Both of these choices are white and wholemeal combined. I am not a fan of just plain wholemeal though I will eat it if I have to. Once in a blue moon I do buy white bread.
-
i do abit of both as i occasionally buy a tray of 15 eggs and the built in 'egg tray' in my fridge only holds 6 eggs so there are always 6 eggs in the fridge and the rest in the cupboard lol. i have no idea why i do this. but then again, what is the point of having those trays in the fridge if you are not meant to keep…

I am looking forward to going to the stadium this evening! Let's see if pistorius can win the 400m. The Brits have been doing very well in these games. I can't help but feel a sense of pride (though I am not British lol).
-
lol @ tony. i can see you have gained about 6 lbs back. you are not alone my friend, i had lost 8 lbs since i joined mfp in july 2011 and now i am back where i started (well i have actually been there for a few months)
-
have fun guys!

Well done Team Jamaica! One gold medal in the bag
