I’m injured...blown meniscus...no cartilage...not repairable other than complete knee surgery and they are waiting until I’m older. I get shots for the pain so I can sleep but he (Doctor) said no more kickboxing, most weight lifting, running, hiking, zumba...in essence, none of the things I enjoy the most! Uugh... So I’m…

Putting it out there again. I’m hoping for a bunch of folks with different experiences/perspectives. I guess I should add I’m totally into HEALTHIER weight loss rather than fad stuff. Prefer doing this with regular food as I have a family and we gotta live in the same house and cook out of the same pantry. Also I’m…

uugh..how do you post a picture rather than a link?

My Sir Baxter...aka “Bug”. He’s my camping and hiking buddy. A 6.5 lb. purebred Yorkie who happens to be athletic and had done mileage’s with me (about 6-7 miles) but basically is connected to me somehow in our psyche. Love my dog...he’s a therapy for when I struggled with depression and has become part of what keeps me…

Opinions about WW is about as numerous as there are people. You gotta pick the tool that fits you and work it. I’m a Weight Watcher member of 14 years. Got to goal losing 120 lbs. with WW. Program changed 3-4 times in those years...each program worked if you work it right. The Zero foods are “to satisfaction” so that’s…

I’m in the same boat... Gonna keep trackin’ and working my budget and not freak out when it blips up now and then and sabotage myself. One of my failings...

I’m a God follower...been so since I was 14 although I was DEFINITELY a baby Believer who had a ton to learn and made plenty of mistakes along the way...and unfortunately I’m still making them but I DO pray that God will create in me a clean heart and grow me. One of the things I’ve learned that He has helped me with is…

Shoot me a friend request! I’m a God follower, too. A Christian who isn’t ashamed of my faith. I’ve lost over 100 lbs...and am now working on about 15-20 more. I totally think that THIS is so tied in with my spiritual life... Ooops...just saw the group name so will join! All the support we can get/give each other the…

Was a member...kept me from home and I already work full time and beyond. Decided to save the money and work out at home...walking and weights. That way I’m at least...home...and not still on the road at a later hour. It’s a good gym. Just a gym but the mood ISN’T quite like the commercials either. It’s just a gym. I’ve…

5’ 4” here... My goal weight is 146. I was a lean mean fighting machine at that weight and had a weight lifting accident during a cardio kickboxing class that busted my knee and I gained about 15 lbs...so am in weight loss mode to get back to that number. I’m 53...and had the accident at 2 years ago and have to consider…

Totally blown meniscus that isn’t repairable. Arthritic knees as it was but I wasn’t having pain with them until the weight lifting accident. I was being an idiot... I taught a cardio kickboxing class and had everyone on the mats for certain weight lifting stations. One gal at a station forgot the routine for that station…

Texas...it’s a whole ‘nuther country. Born and raised here and know nuthin’ else.

I’m looking for more comrades in arms as well. Men...women...love having both as I get a wider more complete perspective. I’m in the process of removing about 15 lbs and have already lost 100 so am not a “newby” .

I joined WW for the group support which is amazing and the “third party scale” thingie. I know others who ALSO joined for the group support that do different other things to lose weight and don’t count Smartpoints necessarily...although MOST in the room do. I had over 100 lbs. to lose and NEEDED the group. Best choice I’ve…

Thank YOU!! I have a very few added friends...but they’re not so active on here and I keep checking to see if they post...and it’s only the automated update kind of thing. Felt a little like “connected but not” sort of thing.

Feel free to add me. I’ve only got about 15-20 to lose but lost 100 already. I’m 54...a mom who has an active soul but was injured permanently during a freak weight lifting accident during my cardio kickboxing class (and I was the teacher!!). Stupid mistake cost me my class...and gained me 15 lbs....that I now have to lose…

As I've been flitting around with different eating "styles" or preferences because someone said it works...just trying to lose 20 stinkin' pounds after already losing 100 with JUST paying attention to the calories and being reasonable...this video jerked me back to reality. Thanks for being clear, intelligent and concise…

Let me add...the IMPORTANT thing is to stick with something. As you're on here...stick with this and use this tool the way it's meant to be used and you won't go wrong. :) I just bet you're gonna do great! Success to you on your journey!

One isn't better than the other. Just different... Lost 120 lbs. with WW. Kept it off with WW. I use Myfitnesspal for finding percentages of macros and stuff like that and sometimes calorie counting when I need a refresher that way. Both are easy. One is free. But I've been FREE for the last 11 years as WW rewards you with…

Both are good. For different reasons. Ask someone who knows firsthand. I lost 120 lbs. on Weight Watchers as I needed the group support and a scale I couldn't shove under my bed and forget. I also like Myfitnesspal and dig calorie counting and the nutritional stats it has to offer. I do both. I like to switch things up to…

Argh!!! The stress in coming up with my top three is incredible!! Frozen assorted berries, Greek Yogurt...assorted grains and beans and vegetables (okay...so that's technically like about 20...but I condensed it into 3 and left off the Hershey's cocoa powder and Reddi-whip that are staples in my pantry as well as almond…

Hello. My name is Rebecca...52...looking for support. Lost a BUNCH of weight 10 years ago and have maintained it beautifully until I got a job with a long commute AND busted my knees in a weight loss accident. So until a surgery happens, I'm not active except walking a small amount with my job. :( As I'm menopausal, I…

My job is all over the map, crazy drive time and some days I'm gone from 8 to 9 o clock... Hard to fit anything in and it's frustrating after being a stay at home Mom with a minimum of 1-2 hours a day workout...running, weights, hiking and cardio kickboxing. Now I work and wonder IF I'll squeeze in a 10 minute whatever…

With the weight I had to lose, I totally had what you are talking about. The longer I was at goal weight, the better it got to a point. Not much of it left but it took longer to shrink and then it didn't shrink at all anymore. It's not noticeable with my clothes on...so I leave 'em on! (wink) I did do a lot of ab exercises…

oh wow...what a maelstrom this could become. I was just going to say something simple...like let your weight loss be your guide or something like that. Eat 'em back if you want but if you're not losing...rethink that. If you don't eat 'em back and you're losing too fast (should be between 1/2 and 2 lbs. a week)...then eat…

I'm a "weight watcher" lifetimer at goal and I get "26 points plus" and that equals out on here (or whatever tracking method I choose to use as I change it up fairly often) between 1200-1300 calories. I gained on 29. I bumped it down to 26 before the new stuff rolled out which was what they would have bumped it down to…

You already know really. I lost 120 lbs...kept it off for over 5 years. Lost it in 19 months...while enrolled in a weight loss program that helped open my eyes without telling me what to eat. (Weight Watchers) It boiled down to: 1. Awareness (track, track, track and count that food...calories or "points plus"...doesn't…

Of course...you gotta go with what works for YOU...not me or anyone else...but YOU. Gotta qualify what I said being that I'm NOT a nutritionist, doctor or whatever...just someone who found what works for her and lost 120 lbs. doing it...I have friends who think the only thing is high protein and they lose weight on it…

I eat a diet high in complex carbohydrates...hardly any simple carbs... It's interesting to look up the research on successful maintainers (like myself) and what kind of "diet" they choose to maintain larg-ish losses over time. (National Weight Loss Registry/Miriam Hospital study that I'm part of) and it's NOT a high…

I know what you (the OP) mean... But...I for REAL worked to on purpose lose the 120 lbs. of excess that was on me (brag...brag...brag...) by sticking with it and continuing AFTER I became a walkin', talkin' success story...to maintain that loss for over 5 years now. It's kind of rare with that sort of weight loss for folks…
