b-b-b-b-b-bump for later

Ok first, yes I am fully aware of that. Second, worrying about what we are eating does not take away from enjoying them being here. Two totally different things. I'm allowed to worry about all the work we have done here and how I can meld two COMPLETE opposite sides into a happy medium.

I have an excellent relationship with the kids but I do mean it when I say that they wouldn't even DREAM of eating a salad or a piece of fruit.

I'm sorry to hear of your upcoming surgery. Hugs to you. To answer your question though, be sure to drink plenty of water and eat filling foods, high fiber, high protein. Chicken, beans, fruits/veg. I think you will find that you're not as hungry (therefore don't eat much) when you don't workout....AND recovering from…

Not all of them are calorie free. I buy Trader Joe's organic yellow mustard and there are 5 calories in a teaspoon. :) But I agree...I've forgotten until recently how much I love mustard. (I used to eat Hellman's REAL mayonnaise on everything...even corndogs.)

I grab a banana if I'm going to the gym AT LEAST. Obviously, I don't like to try to workout on a full stomach so if I have a generous breakfast...I'll wait until later to workout. If I do it hungry...I find that my energy level is insanely low so I'm struggling to complete what I started. :)

See, I can get on board with that. Supposedly, my HRmax is 188....I can hit that easy and still have room to push. From just watching numbers...I really start having trouble catching my breathe at about 195 or so.

Awesome! Good to know...I was kinda worried. :)
-
Oh. LOL! oops. :blushing:

No. I said in my post I'm not pregnant...my tubes are tied :D

Yes I do. I do feel an increase in strength and endurance. I am a huge fan of Chalene Johnson.

How about improving your cardiovascular health, increase endurance, build strength, strengthen your bones, keep your metabolism up, keep you active and making it easier to maintain a healthy weight. Not to mention the sense of accomplishment and pride in yourself, the increase in daily energy and adrenalin. Just that is a…

Don't panic first of all LOL! It happens but you will probably find that your loss will average out pretty good. You said 3 weeks, so that means you're probably getting close to your period...which means either weight GAIN or no loss (usually anyway). Don't worry though...it's an illusion. :) It will drop back off after…

I think it would be ok to run doing CLE. I do CLE and try to get in more cardio. The program doesn't have a lot. There are 2 rest days, 3 strength days, 2 cardio days w/ abs or a bit of yoga. I think running on your rest days and/or strength days would be perfectly fine. Just make sure you listen to your body and slow it…

I need to know too. I have to get up around 8 to get my kid of for school...and if I can get my husband to take care of the tot for a while..I will go walk the trail. I'd like to get up earlier and get it all done before anyone even gets up but I just can't drag myself out of bed! I've been working out after lunch when the…

20 miles is a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG ONE!!! The longest I've hiked is 5 miles! You're a brave girl! :)

Apple butter...just a dollop....or just black pepper.

I've personally never used it but have a little bit of experience with patients that have. It's a fat blocker which is supposed to block up to 1/3 of the fat consumed. The blocked fat is then passed through bowel movements...which in turn CAN have some nasty side effects (of course the risk of side effects increase with a…

I did that too. I've lost 24 lbs and was carrying my 15lb dumbbells up the stairs (2 of them - which obviously is 30 lbs). I was exhausted by the time I got up the stairs and I thought ...wow. It's a real revelation. I can relate.
-
Thanks guys! I'll rest. You guys have no idea how much you have helped relieve the guilt. :)

They shouldn't call it "step aerobics". They should call it "screaming stairs". Seriously, step will get your legs and butt SCREAMINGGGGG!!!! I honestly can't do it. The burn is too intense. I prefer not to repeat the same movement the ENTIRE time LOL!

That's not weird! Egg sandwiches! LOVE THEM!
-
I realize it sounds counterproductive...but NOT drinking water will cause you to put on water weight.
-
Marshmallow fluff & peanut butter is an actual sandwich. It's called a Fluffernutter! :) I like to take thick cut bologna...put it on a plate in the microwave and cook it until it gets dried out and crispy burnt around the edges...on toast with American cheese and REAL mayonnaise...YUM YUM. I haven't had that in over 6…

Walking shoes are pretty much useless. All of the technology and support and effort go into running shoes. Walking in running shoes is perfectly fine...and preferred actually. Some people like to wear the Sketchers Shape Ups or similar...IMO its a gimmick but some people swear by them. I usually wear Asics...but I recently…

It helps counter your sodium intake (and the swelling or bloating that goes with it)...it regulates your body temperature...it helps keep hunger in check (it's known that sometimes thirst is mistaken for hunger)...it keeps your energy level up... on and on and on. There's tons of things.
-
I've done that with Reese's too. Ugh. DRANK ...drank....COOL WHIP? LOL!
-
The omelet sounds outstanding! I've had the Bacon Chocolate...sounds nasty but YUMMO!

Dude. All at the same time?!?!? LOL! =/ Please say no.
