  • I'm 5'3" and just weighed in this morning at 141. My calorie goal from MFP is 1210 per day, but I don't feel guilty if I eat up to 1500. My original goal was 1200, but it recently adjusted because I had lost weight. I think being flexible with my food helps (at least mentally!).
  • I'm not a big fan of plain old water either, but I love the Great Value Iced Tea with Peach drink mix. Even though it's the Walmart brand, I haven't had anything that's nearly as delicious. It comes in large packets for making pitchers and decaffeinated small packets for individual water bottles. Both types are tasty.
  • I was really excited to see their new nutrition calculator too. It's very useful, and much better than trying to guess and then manually add or subtract your toppings. Jimmy John's has a good one too.
  • I like to eat when I'm stressed or not feeling well (especially if I have a migraine). Some people suggest to turn your desire to eat into exercise or something, but that doesn't work for me. The best I can do is stop before reaching for the cookie jar and remember my food diary. It helps to plan out all my food for the…
  • I'm also an ice cream addict. I usually try to set aside calories for the end of the day. I've been very happy with the Skinny Cow and Weight Watchers ice cream bars. The Skinny Cow Cookies 'n' Cream Truffle bar has 110 calories, and the Weight Watchers Giant Cookies & Cream Ice Cream Bar has 130. They are both DELICIOUS.
  • I'm 5'3" (maybe 5'4" on a good day) and 23. My starting weight was 148, and my goal is 128. I might want to lose more than that, but I'll see how I'm feeling when I get there.
  • I'm originally from Illinois but went to college in WI and moved to the Milwaukee area after I graduated. Last week I heard an ad for Germanfest on the radio that was describing all the great food that was going to be there - the announcer said, "No calorie counting here!' Luckily I was out of town and couldn't be tempted!
  • I agree with the others. It definitely gets easier as you learn more about what you eat and how to plan the food for your day. Personally, I had to stop snacking between meals, especially while at my desk. Good luck!
  • I haven't given up any food completely, just really limited my intake so I stay within my calorie allowance. For example, instead of having a big bowl of full-fat ice cream, I'm having a Skinny Cow ice cream bar. I have quit snacking at work, which helps a lot.
