I know this might not help much, but I think you should try just testing what works for you. I'd say maybe you could go with the in between and just eat back some of your exercise calories and see how that works for a bit. However, overall, you'll just have to use trial and error and see what helps you the most.

I thought about getting it, but then I decided I could do better by just checking the internet. And I have. I've found lower caloried and healthier stuff, but that is a good book to start with. Oh and welcome. I just started here too.

Sarah, try the 30 day shred. Many have used that as a prelude to Ripped in 30. I'm planning to just do Ripped in 30 since I started out with tae bo.
