The mayo clinic has apparently never seen the difference between my coffee pee when I get to work and my water pee an hour later. Coffee makes my body feel dehydrated for sure. But it wakes me up so nice and stops the headaches. :) Again I do not count it as water though. The more water the better.

Yea I think all this is crazy. We need to stop looking for shortcuts and just get healthier. Which means drinking more water as opposed to other things not increasing liquids in our foods.
-
Agreed!!! I only count actual WATER as WATER. I think the point is that is how much you should try to drink - 'instead of' or 'in addition to' other drinks.

I taught myself to like it black when I restarted this journey a few months ago, it took a few weeks of thinking it was nasty and bitter but now I can't stand creamer I think it tastes weird. And the best part ZERO calories!!

Vin Diesel for years now!!!! And Katy Perry would be fun for a first timer!

I use frozen fruits and veggies exclusively also. I've read many nutrition and diet books throughtout the years and learned canned veggies have almost no nutritional value. It all goes into the water they are packed in and plus the more whole or (less cooked) a veggie is the more fiber which is good for a diet. Also they…

I agree with everyone. Occasionally it is ok if it is logged. Pay attention to the way your body feels. I found that after I weaned myself off and started eating better I would feel horrible after having one and now I don't even desire them. I would have belly aches, be bloated, and my insulin would spike making me feel…

Have you tried the cocoa roast ones? Sooo awesome for chocolate cravings and still 100 cals per serving and only 1g sugar. Yum!!

I am on 1200 too. I have tried all other stuff because I thought I plateaued at one point. From eating more (I don't think thats necessary until you get near goal weight and loss stalls) changing macronutrients, exercising more etc. I have a desk job and not a whole lot of free time for exercise. Just make sure you buy a…

I ultimately want to do Insanity but with the price tag and my fitness level (or lack of) I think I should try the shred first. And doing cardio days in between does make sense alot of people have said theyr main complaint is they lost inches but not lbs (which is ok) but I still have a ways to go with the lbs. I think I…

I was logging everything too. Or at least I thought I was. Read my other comment for the details. I am stealing your idea too annamarie about marking the glasses. Genious!

The answer is right there. Most people miscalculate their calories!! Especially if you have been over eating for more years of your life than not like me. We all have portion distortion to the 10th power. I lost alot with south beach and counting calories but once the prediabetes was gone I plateaued so I stopped doing…

I felt the same recently and had similar posts. I tried the upping the calories thing that people rave about and it made me gain. I tried watching my macro's and sodium and still wasn't losing. So after 2 weeks of being sick and hardly logging I had an epiphany. If I am dieting why am I never hungry? I mean you shouldn't…

Hilarious! If that was my boys they would have done it at the beach or somewhere in public.

I am glad I am not alone. It made me feel akward. Thanks!

Doesn't matter. If anything it makes you more approachable knowing you are 'real' like the rest of us.

Welcome!!! If I was a stay at home mommy I'd probabaly weigh 10x what I do now. I'd eat hot dogs mac n cheese and brownies all day!! :blushing: Good Luck with your Journey joining MFP is a step in the right direction! Add me!

You have worked hard for it!! Keep it up!

I am actually pretty careful about weighing and measuring. The last few days due to the scale not moving I even found alternatives to bring my sodium and fat around where they need to be. I've been eating lean protien and healthy carbs for the most part and try to keep my sugar in check. I was cheating a little on weekends…

I don't know what I am doing wrong. My family doc put me on phen after having me go to a cardiologist for extensive tests because I do have high blood pressue. I lost 11 lbs first 2 weeks and was so excited to get to goal in 3 months. I had already been eating well and exercising lost 30 lbs before phen but fell off track…
