Indeed, I'm pretty sure there's been one for most things by now, and very few backed up by any proper science.

Congratulations! It must be an awesome feeling and know that you can keep on succeeding and that one day in the future you'll be posting about how you've got from overweight to a healthy weight! I'm 1lb off not being obese anymore and I can't wait, I've not been obese for long but it was getting into that category that…

The only thing that led me to delete someone so far was when all they ever ate was fast food and ready meals every single day, and I usually check out my friends food diaries when they're done logging for the day (for meal inspiration and stuff) and I just didn't want to be seeing all the fast food and junk every day :)

I'm 5'9 so a smidge taller than you but at the moment I am 204lbs and I hope to be 161lbs (which I know is more than your current weight) At the moment in clothes I'm probably a 14-16 (UK sizes) and I hope to be a 10-12 when I get down to my goal weight although I may still have to be a 14 in some trousers as I have a big…

I try to pre-log all my meals for the day in the morning (if I know what I'm eating) and also if I have snacks I know I'm taking into uni/work I log those as well. Then I can see how much I have left over to add in other snacks or maybe a little extra into a meal or whatever :)

I enjoyed the series but yes I was thinking that the 1200 calories a day was very low, however you have to remember that they were under medical supervision (they saw a doctor and a dietitian amongst possibly other medical professionals) which most of us aren't. I haven't got round to checking out their recipes but will…

I made these: http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/5863/tuna-sweetcorn-burgers this week and they were pretty good, I've been having them with rice and pasta but you could serve them with a salad instead if you wanted to :)

Like others have said what works for you will vary. I got the implant fitted just over a year ago and I love it, I don't have to think about it and I have had three 2 day super light periods since it started. I used to use nuva ring which at first seemed convenient but eventually I realised it was making sex painful so I…

I don't think my diet was really bad for the most part, some days were pretty similar to the days I have now, but sometimes I'd cook two portions of dinner intending to save one for the next day and still be hungry after I ate and go and eat it without thinking about how bad the consequences would be. And when I was…

I have "only lost" 8lbs but: - I feel better about myself and know I can lose more weight - My jeans are fitting better and I'm looking forward to going down a size (or two!) - I can sit and work on a piece of uni work and not end up eating a whole pack of biscuits or sweets

My calorie goal isn't quite 1800, at the moment it's about 1700 but often due to exercise the calorie goal ends up above the 1800 mark :)

Slowly my clothes stopped fitting me anymore, I kept getting holes in the thighs of my jeans and had to go up a size and even then I still managed to end up with holes after a few months. That and when I reached over 15 stone on the scales and realised I had to stop this now else it was just going to keep getting worse :)

Currently I'm a full time student studying for MSc in Science Communication with about 4 weeks left to go, and I work part time in a library. In the future I hope to work in a job related to outreach and engagement with science, possibly in a museum or for a university :)

When I used to work in an office I tried to make sure I brought my own lunch every day with snacks and didn't carry any change in my purse so I couldn't be tempted by the vending machines! The sorts of snacks I took were flavoured rice cakes, carrot sticks and houmous and mixed berries. I used to buy the berries or carrot…

Me and my partner sat down and came up with a number of rewards to help keep me motivated, the first two are after 5lb losses than it goes up to 7lb losses after that (because I often start something and drop out early on). The rewards start off smaller and get bigger as time goes on and include things like a new hair cut,…

Both Kikkoman and Amoy do low sodium soy sauces that are available in most supermarkets in the UK, I've not looked at the actual salt amounts in each though but might be worth a look to see if they would suit

Yes, I know you can use it to track runs, my question actually is how do I get it to work? I assume I need to get it to transmit information somehow, at the moment it's just something in the bottom of my shoe!

Hi, I'm not from Yorkshire but I am from the UK, so feel free to add me if you want to :)

My boyfriend has recently introduced me to a really nice way of having carrots (and works with other stirfry style veg too) - ribbons of carrot stirfried with a bit of salt and soy sauce. And tomorrow night we're going to have stuffed peppers with a bit of couscous and some tomatoes, but can put all sorts of veg or…
