  • Just had a thought and wondered if there would be any interest in making a group to support us brides to be in our weight loss goals? And somewhere to just chat/rant about wedding planning! Also if people were interested there could be the option of running weight loss challenges like lose so many pounds over whatever…
  • My past approach may not have been the best one for everyone but it seemed to work out okay for me. I used to do weights based and circuits based classes at the gym. I found that these burnt over energy and helped build muscle without being cardio based and triggering my asthma (it was triggered a little but not as much as…
  • Cut it up into cubes/chunks, roast it with a bit of olive oil and some herbs at the same time as roasting a couple of chicken breasts. Then shred the chicken breasts and mix both them and the squash into a risotto. It's delicious but probably only best for those times when you have quite a few calories leftover for dinner!
  • Because it's my second day back and staying on track yesterday made me feel so happy!
  • Heya guys, I have a bit more time than most of you! I only recently got engaged (a week or so ago!) and we are planning on getting married late summer or early autumn (fall for the Americans  ) 2016. I'm aiming to lose 60lbs over about the next year so I'm at my goal weight when it comes to wedding dress shopping!
  • Heya, I'm 25 and also quite addicted to netflix. I like sci-fi shows, Harry Potter, pokemon, generally a bit of a nerd! Height: 5'10 CW: 229lbs GW: 168lbs Feel free to add me :)
  • This was really interesting, thanks for posting! :)
  • Regardless of people understanding what the term "ghetto booty" is, I don't think it's right for a Doctor to use it to explain a condition to a patient. Also I was under the impression that you can fix hyperlordosis to some degree? Cause if you can't then I sure am wasting my time!
  • Having just the one "cheat" meal rather than a "cheat" day for most people probably means you will go less over your calorie goal for the day and it will have less of an impact. For example, if I know I'm going out for a meal one day in the week I'll make sure the rest of that day isn't an excuse to go completely overboard…
  • Just did it and I also picked about 3 sizes too big!
  • Not quite there yet, but on the left is me from about this time last year and on the right is me more recently :)
  • Personally I weigh myself most days although I don't log the number every day - I tend to log my weight once a week, occasionally twice. I like keeping an eye on the number just to see if I maybe need to drink more/eat less salt and see if I'm not going up lots. But if the number goes up I don't let it phase me as long as…
  • It varies depending on my carb allowance for the day, but: Higher carb - porridge made with 40g porridge oats, 200ml almond milk, and then mix in10g high quality dark chocolate and cinnamon, finally scatter chopped banana on top Lower carb - omelette with cheese, ham and tomato or scrambled eggs with bacon :)
  • - Pass my driving test - Buy a car! (dependent on the first one of course) - Get onto a teacher training course :)
  • I'm not sure if the errors in this were meant to be ironic...
  • Anyone? :) (I know it's not been that long but I also know my post will vanish off into the deep dark depths of the forum!)
  • Age: 23 Height: 5'9 Starting weight: 213lbs Current weight: 192lbs Goal weight: 161lbs Net calories: About 1800 Exercise: I don't get too much exercise at the moment, building it in slowly starting with one gym class per week and going to start adding in some running and stuff as well General goals: To get healthier,…
  • $1 = £0.62 according to the current exchange rate For £0.57 I can get 4 bananas which would be about 420 calories.
  • Beans on toast with cheese on top :)

  • Taken from my MFP list: 1. Banana 2. Organic 85% dark chocolate 3. Porridge Oats 4. Almond Milk 5. Chicken Breast 6. Olive Oil 7. Salt and Vinegar Rice Cakes 8. Carrots 9. Mature Cheddar Cheese 10. Chinese Stir-Fry oil 1-4 are my breakfast that I have pretty much every day, and the rest are things that are fairly generic…

  • We already exchanged presents as he went away today and I won't see him again till after Christmas, I got him a new Xbox controller (to replace one that had broken so he has two again now (and him and his housemate can do multiplayer stuff again)) and a marble pestle and mortar. They were both very much appreciated…
  • I tend to prepare things where I have two or more portions so that I don't have to do prep every day. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/681634/helpyourself-tuna-rice-salad - this is quite a nice recipe, I've done it before and just halved most of the ingredients (although used the same quantity of tuna) and it comes out…
  • http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2326/crisp-italian-chicken-and-polenta - I really like this recipe for polenta, but I tend to use skinless chicken breasts rather than ones with skins on :)
  • So what do you all do that has you working Saturdays? I work in a university library that's open 24/7 but all I really have to do is be there (and do a few little bits and pieces here and there) so I get to use my laptop to do whatever :)
  • Shelving books and running up and down the stairs at work. If that counts :P
  • Not working today cause I didn't get any temp work this week :( Do have to work 3pm-11pm tomorrow in my Saturday job though which will be boring like usual! Oh and I volunteered to work overtime on Christmas Eve which I may regret.
  • The 1210 calories has a built in deficit of 3500 calories. What MFP has done is worked out what it thinks you burn in a day and deducted 500 calories (500 *7 being the 3500). You don't *need* to do any exercise on top of this to lose weight (at roughly a pound a week) but if you do exercise it will give you more calories…
  • Actually it might not contain nuts, peanuts are not nuts ;)
